Welcome to Bay Top Lake House in Bayfield Wisconsin, a fun and relaxing 3,200 sq ft vacation home rental located approximately 1 mile North of beautiful Bayfield with over 300 ft of shoreline, large deck on the scenic shores of Lake Superior. Life is good when you stay at Bay Top Lake House!

When you walk into this vast vacation home you will first be taken away when you see a large octagon shaped main living room area with amazing views of Lake Superior, a large stone fireplace, piano area, and comfortable chairs to just sit and look at the lake. Just off the main living room area you will be welcomed to both the spacious kitchen and dining room area or you can walk out on the 1,200 sq ft deck to catch the sunrises and to relax.

This well cared for vacation home consists of a first floor master suite with king bed featuring views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands and en-suite bathroom. A large walk in closet completes the master bedroom. There is a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed with lake views located on the bottom floor walk out basement area of the home. A second bathroom with a tile shower is located just outside the 2nd bedroom. A third sleeping area with 2 twin beds also enjoys views of Lake Superior.

The 2nd level walk out basement area is an entertainers dream as it also has views of Lake Superior. Enjoy time sitting in front of a 2nd large brick fireplace or in the pool hall playing piano or a game of pool. The 2nd level also hosts an additional kitchen plus a separate TV room and a pull out couch.

Wander the 3+ acre parcel of land and enjoy the natural beauty of the lake, hardwood and evergreen trees and occasional sightings of Bayfield area wildlife. Enjoy a peaceful Lake Superior getaway only minutes from the attractions, shops and restaurants in downtown Bayfield, WI.

Winter stays will require a 4 wheel drive vehicle as our driveway has an incline and snow isn't removed daily.

Security Cameras In Use:
Similar to most vacation rentals, we have security cameras on the property. One is located at the corner of the home facing the driveway. In addition, we have a Ring Doorbell located at the front door and one at the back door on the basement level facing the lake.

Short Term Rental Agreement:
All guests must sign a short term rental agreement which will be prepared after obtaining the following information from the guest upon booking: 1. Legal Name 2. Address 3. Cell phone 4. Email address (it will be sent for electronic signature via DocuSign) 5. Name of all guests

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Take all garbage and recycling to the blue bins by the garage. Bins may be locked to prevent bears from getting in. Owner will provide key to lockbox.
Pull all dirty towels and linens (including comforters) in the linen bags provided and place by the front door. We launder them off site. Do not leave outside.
Make sure all dishes are clean and put away. Remove all food from refrigerator. Kindly notify us of any damaged items or things that need repair.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests are required to sign a Short Term Rental Agreement. All guests who will be staying must be listed on the Short Term Rental Agreement.
No parties or events shall be hosted while staying with us. Maximum of 6 guests. Smoking is not allowed in the home or on the property.
Late check outs are not allowed. If late checking out, an additional fee of $395 will be charged.

The house is in a great location, less than five minutes from Bayfield, and an easy drive to many orchards.The views of Lake Superior were fantastic! Star gazing was amazing. Communication with the host was exceptional. This place is huge, very clean, well supplied and exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our family vacation and we would definitely book it again in the future.

Best Way to be on Lake Superior

This house was magical from the time we walked through the door. We were blessed to have such beautiful weather and scenery while on staying on Lake Superior. It was the perfect place for a girls weekend- probably should have stayed another night or two.

When you arrive at this property your initial reaction is “WOW” The unique architecture and very comfortable furnishings’ are only out-shined by the location and view on the lake! Easy drive to a plethora of hiking , recreational and fine dining establishments. Your host is fabulous!

Amazing home! Loved it!!

Such a beautiful home. Monica was incredibly easy and wonderful to work with. She responded quickly to questions and checked in during our time there. The house was very clean and cozy! We loved playing pool as a family and swimming of the dock! Beds were very comfortable and provided a oasis, just the break our family was looking for! Monica goes the extra mile to be welcoming and caring for her guests. Super location just minutes from activities! We will return!

Very nice place

5 of us really enjoyed our 4-night stay here. The place was clean and well-furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen. The owner was friendly, helpful, responsive. One of us uses a wheelchair or a walker, and was generally quite comfortable. I discovered I could get her up the one step onto the porch and into the house by tipping and lifting the wheelchair. Some of the carpets slowed her down a little, but she enjoyed the stay. Great to have the lake and Madeleine Island right out the windows.

Another awesome stay!

This was our second stay...this time in the summer. . and, like the first, it was perfect! The house is immaculate with a hostess who has thought of everything you might need or want. With the location so close to Bayfield, yet at the same time private and beautful, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. The panoramic views of the lake from the gorgeous great room and deck, the pool table downstairs, the dock for swimming and the firepit for nightime campfires all make this place 5 stars! You will feel like you are coming home to "your" place on the lake. Love it!

Absolutely fantastic property!

The Bay Top far exceeded our expectations! The property is extremely well-kept and is so impressive. We were in awe the moment we arrived. It smelled fresh and clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. No detail is overlooked- the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, & the kitchen had all we needed. The views from the living area and bedrooms were amazing. The backyard was a dream! Our kids loved learning pool, playibg piano, checking out the books and records! We took in all that Bayfield had to offer! Thank you to Monica for being an amazing host with a beautiful property!

Beautiful grounds and views. Home is older but very well maintained. Kitchen had every gadget needed. Lots of room to spread out. 2 dings...WiFi was tempermental and would have enjoyed TVs in the bedrooms. Not enough room for 6 of us in the TV room.. Bathrooms were smaller but comfortable overall. Appreciated the washer abd dryer.

The Bay Top Lake house was wonderful!Our family enjoyed our time there so much we hardly left the property. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The views are amazing. The home is beautifully decorated and well kept. It was large enough for our family of 5. We all had our own private spaces. The owner Monica was very attentive and helpful with any questions we had before and during our stay.We can’t wait to stay another time soon:)

I love the draw of Lake Superior and the Santa Monica Mountains and feel both areas provide a quiet and relaxing space to clear your mind. I don't travel to many areas as I always find myself wanting to head to Bayfield, WI to enjoy Lake Superior. I think you will find it to be a very SUPERIOR place to visit. :)
