Welcome to Carey Bay Cottages! Our twelve properties are located in the heart of Grove with a country feel. The quaint and clean cottages are backed by 15 private wooded acres on 1600 feet of Carey Bay waterfront. Feel free to roam! With twelve separate cottages available its the perfect place to bring friends and family yet have your own space. After a long day on the lake, head back to your cozy cottage where you can grill some hamburgers and relax around a fire. Every cottage was designed with the discerning traveler in mind - granite counter tops, completely equipped kitchen, full sized washer and dryer, bathroom with custom shower... the list goes on. All the comforts of home, just smaller. We also have parking for a boat with water and electrical hookups and an outdoor security system.

Lake time! It's just a short walk behind the cottages to the lake. Bring your boots to explore our woods and enjoy the lake views. The shoreline is kept clean and in its natural state, as required by law. It’s a great place to relax and soak up the sound of the water. Dock the boat just a mile away at The Wolf Creek Park and Boating Facility, a top of the line fishing facility. Professional anglers come from all over the US to fish at Wolf Creek. Enjoy the other fun activities our area has to offer like various water sports, golfing, Mid-America Outdoors, the state park, Har-ber Village, and Lendonwood Gardens, to name a few. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, tour Crystal Bridges Museum located an hour away but well worth it.

Amenities at the cottages include WiFi, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen with cookware and dishes, drip coffee maker, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, Smart TV, beach towels, linens, propane grill, water & electric for boat hookups. Our area is very safe, but we have installed an outdoor surveillance system as extra security for our guests and their property.

The natural beauty of the lake and it's surroundings, along with the small town atmosphere are part of what we love so much about Grand Lake. We hope you enjoy your stay and love it here as much as we do!

Such a great place to stay!! Would totally recommend for anyone. Quick trip want to come back and stay longer. Didn’t get to use kitchen but it looked like it would have everything you need. I have a terrible bad back and am always concerned about comfort of bed. No problem at all. Very comfortable. Super clean place. Going to recommend to everyone I know!

Perfect Little Cottage & Location

This adorable cottage was absolutely perfect for a weekend away. The trail to the lake is beautiful and we had a blast on the kayaks and paddleboards.

Cottage plus pelicans

The setting is beautiful--on the edge of woods and close to the lake, with a lovely trail to the shoreline. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well stocked. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed gathering with our friends around the the propane fire table on the patio. And we were able to see a flock of pelicans and cormorants take flight from the lake Saturday morning!

Spotless Cottage in Unique Setting

The property was most unique with a raised boardwalk extending into a primitive wood lot. Also mulched paths to primitive waterfront. This property is unique with terrific potential.

Peaceful cottage stay

This location is quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and in a great location. You can be floating on your kayak within minutes of your back door, or enjoying a pizza downtown with a short drive. I’d we find ourselves in this area again, we would certainly book again.

Adorable cabin with vast woods to explore and chill. Right next to the lake to kayak or paddle board. Close to town for anything you might need! Will definitely be back!

A beautiful getaway super close to the lake.

Absolutely the peace and quiet we were looking for to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. This little place is a hidden gem. Just a few hundred yards to the lake. We even saw a doe one evening. It has all the comforts you could ask for in a crisp clean little cottage. The little table outside with a gas fire pit was a pleasant surprise, we purchased s’mores makings to enjoy it. :) The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. Loved the ability to use the kayaks provided near the waters edge. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and will definitely be visiting again. Easy to find and close to town. Only sad part was we had to check out by 10 am. We found that a bit early and felt a rush at the end of out peaceful visit but I’m sure it was due to the extra cleaning they are putting into sanitizing and making it ready for the next guests. 5 stars all the way.
Just added a few twigs from nearby.
Back porch was so cozy.
Area where the kayaks were.
Back deck provided the perfect amount of shade.

Perfect for relaxation.

I was looking for a property on a lake and pet friendly. This was perfect. Loved the cottage, had everything you needed in a small, but plenty of room space. Bed was super comfortable, shower was large, back porch area was perfect for lounging or a fire, loved to be able to use the kayaks. I have nothing bad to say! Enjoyed a very relaxing long weekend!

Herb is a Builder and Endless Dreamer who wanted to create a memory-making property for vacationers coming to Grand Lake.

Lindsey is a Registered Nurse and Overthinker who now manages Herb’s dreams (and the properties).

We’re avid travelers, and while we’ve explored many incredible places and seen wonderful sights, there’s nothing quite like crossing Sailboat Bridge and coming HOME.
