Welcome to Carey Bay Cottages! Our twelve properties are located in the heart of Grove with a country feel. The quaint and clean cottages are backed by 15 private wooded acres on 1600 feet of Carey Bay waterfront. Feel free to roam! With twelve separate cottages available its the perfect place to bring friends and family yet have your own space. After a long day on the lake, head back to your cozy cottage where you can grill some hamburgers and relax around a fire. Every cottage was designed with the discerning traveler in mind - granite counter tops, completely equipped kitchen, full sized washer and dryer, bathroom with custom shower... the list goes on. All the comforts of home, just smaller. We also have parking for a boat with water and electrical hookups and an outdoor security system.

Lake time! It's just a short walk behind the cottages to the lake. Bring your boots to explore our woods and enjoy the lake views. The shoreline is kept clean and in its natural state, as required by law. It’s a great place to relax and soak up the sound of the water. Dock the boat just a mile away at The Wolf Creek Park and Boating Facility, a top of the line fishing facility. Professional anglers come from all over the US to fish at Wolf Creek. Enjoy the other fun activities our area has to offer like various water sports, golfing, Mid-America Outdoors, the state park, Har-ber Village, and Lendonwood Gardens, to name a few. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, tour Crystal Bridges Museum located an hour away but well worth it.

Amenities at the cottages include WiFi, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen with cookware and dishes, drip coffee maker, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, Smart TV, beach towels, linens, propane grill, water & electric for boat hookups. Our area is very safe, but we have installed an outdoor surveillance system as extra security for our guests and their property.

The natural beauty of the lake and it's surroundings, along with the small town atmosphere are part of what we love so much about Grand Lake. We hope you enjoy your stay and love it here as much as we do!

Perfect Little Cottage & Location

This adorable cottage was absolutely perfect for a weekend away. The trail to the lake is beautiful and we had a blast on the kayaks and paddleboards.

The cottage was perfect, including all the amenities and its size. We loved how private it felt on the back patio and enjoyed the gas fire pit every night. The shower was glorious and we are going to have to find similar fixtures for our house now. The bed was very comfortable and we truly appreciated the host washing the bedding in scent free detergent when we requested it. We will definitely be back and look forward to actually using the kayaks next time.

This location is quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and in a great location. You can be floating on your kayak within minutes of your back door, or enjoying a pizza downtown with a short drive. I’d we find ourselves in this area again, we would certainly book again.

The Perfect Getaway!

We loved our stay at Carey Bay Cottages! Herb and Lindsey were so accommodating, and the cottage was exactly as described. It was only a two minute walk to the lake, and they provided us with kayaks, paddle boards and floats to maximize our time on the water. The cottage had everything we needed to cook our meals on site, including a propane grill on our semi-private back patio. We loved being able to bring our dog with us, especially with how hard it was to find a place that would allow us to. I have already recommended Carey Bay to several of my friends, and we'll definitely be back next year! Thanks so much for an amazing stay! :)

Cottage plus pelicans

The setting is beautiful--on the edge of woods and close to the lake, with a lovely trail to the shoreline. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well stocked. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed gathering with our friends around the the propane fire table on the patio. And we were able to see a flock of pelicans and cormorants take flight from the lake Saturday morning!

For the past 30 years we’ve called Grove home, raising our three children in this beautiful corner of Oklahoma.

Herb is a Builder and Endless Dreamer who wanted to create a memory-making property for vacationers coming to Grand Lake.

Lindsey is a Registered Nurse and Overthinker who now manages Herb’s dreams (and the properties).

We’re avid travelers, and while we’ve explored many incredible places and seen wonderful sights, there’s nothing quite like crossing Sailboat Bridge and coming HOME.
