Inaccurate web-description; a disappointing stay

DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN WEB-PAGE AND ACTUAL GITE: The photos on the webpage show two large comfortable rooms which actually turn out to be not part of the gite at all. Gite is tiny, cramped and completely overlooked by main house. ITEMS CLAIMED ON WEBSITE BUT NOT ACTUALLY PROVIDED: TV (none); Books (none); Kitchen and Kitchenette (one tiny kitchen); oven (none, other than microwave); grill (none); kitchen island (none); clothes dryer (towel rail in bathroom). OTHER AMENITIES MENTIONED BUT NOT PRESENT: onsite parking (we had to park outside on the road); “oceanfront” and “near the ocean” (it is 100km from the ocean); “waterfront” (it isn’t, the river is over 1km away). OTHER PROBLEM AREAS: the macerater in the toilet did not seem to work properly and we were told on arrival that we would have to dispose of used toilet paper separately. PRIVACY: this is a more subjective issue. The “private” garden and “private” pool are 60 metres away, around the other side of the house and completely overlooked by the family home, so not much privacy is offered. This is a pity as the pool area is excellent. Sadly, a somewhat disappointing experience.

Un séjour ressourçant à Mosnac

L'endroit est d'un calme absolu et d'une grande beauté. La propriété est proche cependant de plusieurs petits restaurants et de toutes les commodités à Châteauneuf. La piscine est superbe, parmi les roses et les arbres. L'accueil de Denise a été chaleureux. J'ai passé à Mosnac des moments très privilégiés.

Lieu idéal

L'endroit est situé idéalement: en campagne, dans un village très calme, et à proximité des grands sites touristiques de la région (Angoulême, Cognac, etc..). Le gîte est bien équipé, bien entretenu, et la propriétaire est très disponible pour tout problème et renseignement.

séjour au cœur des vignes

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans le logement de Denise, sa fille et son petit fils. Le lieu est très charmant, la décoration est soignée, le confort est au rendez-vous et bien évidemment l'accueil et la propreté sont optimales. Le studio est bien équipé. Gros bonus pour le superbe jardin et la piscine. Nous espérons y retourner un jour.
