I grew up in the hospitality world long before it became an industry. My parents lovingly restored an 1865 brick Victorian Italianate home, and our family of six lived there most of the year. When summer arrived and travelers flocked to Cooperstown for the Hall of Fame and the slow, timeless rhythm of small‑town life, we tucked ourselves into a few back rooms so guests could enjoy the four grand bedrooms upstairs. Everyone shared a single bathroom with a magnificent old copper tub—a true relic of another era.
Summer meant chores, and mine were the kind that stay with you for life: stripping and making beds with crisp corners, dusting the long two‑story baluster staircase, and vacuuming the wall‑to‑wall carpeting until every path felt fresh again. Those early lessons shaped me. Cleanliness wasn’t a task—it was a welcome. A properly made bed wasn’t decoration—it was care.
I’ve now called Jupiter home for more than 30 years. I’m an author and the creator of Explorers Vacation Club, a collection of three distinctive short‑term rentals on my property—each one designed to offer guests a taste of Old Florida charm, coastal breezes, and the kind of hospitality that comes from a lifetime of living it.
If your group is larger than the RV can accommodate, you’re welcome to expand your stay with one of our additional, truly one‑of‑a‑kind spaces:
1Sea Chateau' our 1999 44’ Gibson Cabin Motor Yacht on the water (no wake zone) - sleep four
Legend, our 1915 antique boat – sleeps two, on land.
Their locations are shown clearly on the map, each offering its own flavor of Florida’s coastal magic.
