Gem place of the Beach

Excellent home for a stay at the beach! Very close to all that you would need. It's minutes away from the beach, many restaurants, the town center, boardwalk, pharmacy, grocery stores, etc. This is our second year here in a row, we absolutely love it here, and hope to be back again next year! Great communication, very clean home, quiet neighborhood !!

50th surprise bday party

We were in town for a friends’s surprise 50th birthday party. Sandy Bottoms was within walking distance to the location of the party. We had a nice stay at Sandy Bottoms. It is within walking distance to many restaurants. The home was clean and comfortable. The owner was very easy to work with, we had quick response times if we had any questions. We had no problems and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Beach House

A lovely place to spend an anniversary week. The house was comfortable, well furnished, pleasingly decorated. The bed was comfortable - a big plus! We would gladly stay there again. It was only a mile to the beach, and included a parking pass. Really everything we could want in a beach rental. We had a special time there.

Great stay!

While we planned to bring our two grandchildren with us, they were not available due to their sport seasons. However, this property would have easily accommodated our needs. We appreciated the cleanliness and enjoyed our stay. We look forward to a return visit.

Excellent stay

This was our second time staying at this property. It is a short drive to the beach and town of Bethany. It was clean, in a quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants and stores. Communication with the owner was great. He even arranged to have packages of bath tissue delivered to the house after I mentioned that there was none. He did this without me asking. Would definitely recommend for small groups/families. I noticed plenty of games, beach umbrella, chairs and of course the outdoor shower is great to have.

Glad to be back

This was our 3rd stay at Sandy Bottoms, and we plan to return. It's perfect for our three-person family. There is a very chill vibe. Our kiddo loves the pool and pickle ball court, as well as all the toys and games the hosts provide. The relative privacy at the back makes a calm view and a nice place to hang out. The outdoor shower feels great and definitely helps with "sand management". One of our favorite qualities of this house is the very comfortable beds - much higher quality mattresses than you find in most rentals. The residence pass makes it a breeze to park near the beach and boardwalk. Thanks and see you next year!

Amazing, budget-friendly family property!

This place is wonderful for the value and really made our family vacation possible. Tennis/pickleball courts and community pool right outside the front door were great when the kids (and parents) needed a break from the beach. The resident pass was super helpful with parking and the beach was maybe a 2 minute drive - if that. All the great restaurants were 5‐10 minutes drive. The outdoor shower was honestly our favorite thing because it saved soooo much time being able to strip everyone down and clean up after the beach and really helped avoid tracking in sand. I hope to see the carpet replaced sometime in the future and maybe newer appliances, it takes away from the charm of an otherwise beautiful place. Will definitely come back!

Great location

I was more than happy staying at this property. The house is just as described and pictured. Perfect for a girls trip or family with kids. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean. The home owner was very quick to respond with any questions and even checked in to make sure everything was okay. It is less than a 5 minute drive into the center of Bethany. I loved the outdoor shower. We watched deer from the back deck right across the street. I will definitely stay here again and have even shared the information with my family and friends.

Fourth of July fun

Courtland‘s home was the perfect size for my two daughters and me. It was in close proximity to my family and Bethany West. We found the kitchen fully stocked with pots and pans and all the tools we needed to cook the family meals. The place was spotless, and we appreciated it being equipped with cleaning and paper products. Courtland was very easy to communicate with, and I would 100% recommend her home.

Great Spot to Stay for the Week on a Budget!

This was a great place to stay for the week- affordable after Labor Day and since it’s not walking distance to the beach, but still close enough that the drive seemed like nothing. The resident parking pass was probably the best amenity, along with the outdoor shower for washing off sand. The kitchen utensils (including pots and pans) weren’t the cleanest, but that’s what happens whenever these items are essentially shared and used by dozens of people. Having linens would have been more convenient, but I can understand why that’s not easy to refresh and maintain after each guests’ stay. All in all would definitely rebook here in the future!

Family Beach Vacation

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Bethany Beach! My husband and I travelled with our 1 and 3 year old and the house was more than accommodating and very spacious for our small family. The place was very clean when we arrived and well stocked. My 3 year old especially appreciated the "toy closet" full of games, puzzles, and toys while my 1 year old would nap daily. My husband and I enjoyed the deck nightly as we had great weather - a perfect place to relax! We did have issue with the pool (which really isn't in the renters control so isn't a negative on their part). However, part of our reason for renting this property was the proximity. It is located directly across from the house but no matter what time of day we went it was always freezing! We had 80+ degree days but it was almost unusable. It was expressed by multiple people we spoke to as well. The property is not walkable to the beach but a parking pass is provided (something to be aware of if you have a young family). Also, we were patiently waiting for the check-in code and eventually had to ask and the wi-fi password was never provided.

The only thing I didn't love was that you had to walk through the hosts house to get to the apartment, that did make me a bit uncomfortable at first but after meeting Joe I was much more comfortable. This was one of the cleanest rentals I've stayed in from multiple different sites, check in and out was simple and straight forward, and the beds were actually comfortable! Overall, I had a great experience, and I would choose to stay here again.

Wonderful vacation spot!

Our family had a terrific vacation here!! Condo was very clean and had everything you might need during your stay! It’s in a great location in Bethany and within walking distance to so much! The checkin process and communication with the owner was very easy and they where very responsive to our needs! We will be back highly recommend!

Another wonderful vacation

Our second year at this property and we plan to return again. The owner offers great communication and customer service. A comfortable house, with especially comfortable beds. It is so quiet once inside and lots of privacy even though it is a town house. The private, outdoor shower helps so much with post-beach sand management. The residential parking pass is very convenient-we always manage to park a block away from the beach, but you can walk to so much including nice restaurants, an Italian specialty grocery/deli/bakery, and a playground. The house has a great selection of games, toys, and books for a variety of ages. We loved the addition of a pickle ball set this year and made use of the tennis court. Close to groceries and gas. Because the development is next to a wetlands park, it can be buggy outside, but that’s about the only detraction. We feel we’ve found our home-away-from-home.

Nice place, convenient location

Overall a good experience. Nice property. Can drive, walk or trolley to the beach. Several dining options within close walking distance. Really the only major negative was that both my wife and I feltthe king bed was terribly uncomfortable (both hot and hard to find a comfy sleeping position), to the point thsty wife slept on the couch instead for most of our stay.

Relaxing

Adorable beach house, right across from the community pool and tennis courts. The beach parking pass was much appreciated, we were able to get close parking all week! The kitchen had everything you need and more and the bedrooms were large with comfy beds closet space. Our toddler didn’t want to leave and fell in love with the stuffed animals and toy closet! It was the perfect size for 3 adults and 1 child, would def. Book here again :)

Great location in Bethany!

We had a great stay at this location! The bed were comfortable! The kitchen was great and having a washer and dryer there was great too. Short walk to Grottos, Bethany diner etc. We had a nice time here and would definitely rent again. The pool was nice but we didn’t use it much. The residential pass was amazing to have and saved a lot for parking up at the beach!
