Reel Paradise is a two bedroom two bathroom house on a fenced in large lot located in Matlacha, Florida. The inside is freshly painted, new lighting and flooring plus all new furniture throughout. The house has a screened in front porch and screened in patio. The backyard offers a heated outside shower, jacuzzi, fire pitt, boat lift and boat dock, bbq grill, plus plenty of seating and shade. Wide salt water canal, seconds from the gulf by boat, kayak or canoe.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn AC up to 78° Turn the hot tub down to 80°, cover and secure all four hot tub cover clips. Return bikes to the carport and park in the shade. Stack and return grey chairs to the carport.
Fold and return black and blue zero gravity chairs to the back patio. Return and push in white chairs around white table by seawall, return and push in brown chairs around brown table with glass top
underneath awning. Cover the grill, fire-pit and both large umbrellas. Wrap up all hoses onto their designated wall mount. Take out trash and recycling to large cans located on the front of shed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Small dogs only for monthly rentals or more.
Extra guests: $50 per person per night after 4 guests

What a wonderful home and location. The home was like new, very clean. We (4 adults) stayed for a month, the home had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Beds were great and kitchen well stocked with what’s needed. Great and fast communication from host. Matlacha is such a beautiful area. We all very much enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was wonderful. Joe was great before we got there as far as restaurants, music etc. We trailered our boat and the docking option was wonderful. The hot tub was fantastic, both when we got off the boat and again at night. Walking distance to blue dog restaurant. Food was great we went twice. Definitely will go back

This house was spotless. The furnishings, appliances and dishes were very high quality and all “like new” condition! Joe has provided every amenity including hot tub, fire pit, umbrellas, games anything you can think of. The festive outdoor lighting, including tiki torches and UNDERWATER lighting, really adds to the resort atmosphere. On a scale of One to Ten, I rate this one an Eleven!

All that was advertised!

Our first time staying on Matlacha, and we couldn't have picked a better house. It was very clean and up to date, with multiple amenities...hot tub, outdoor fireplace, several out door seating areas, outdoor shower. Joe is an excellent host.

Joseph's place was all we could ask for. The place was newly renovated and couldnt be more beautiful. We had everything we needed. Matlacha is a wonderful relaxing area with lots to do.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Joe was extremely kind, responsive and accommodating. The house is impeccably maintained with all the amenities. The kitchen has all the essentials. Hot tub was enjoyable while staring at the water. Plenty of space to spread out, beds comfortable and extra blankets provided. Had morning coffee on the screened porch. My husband caught a bunch of Ladyfish right of the dock. The evening has the canal waters off the dock lit up with green lights to see the fish and shrimp swimming. The bikes provided were convenient to take to breakfast and dinner in less than 5 minutes. All the cute little Tiki Bars, restaurants and shops were within a few miles in Matlacha, Pine Island, Bokelia and St James City. Will definitely stay here again!

Family celebration

I got married on my birthday. So 33 years of marriage and Father’s Day the same weekend. Joe is an amazing host. Perfect location with water all around. Great restaurants in walking distance.

Island Paradise

Joe was a wonderful welcoming host even calling half way through our stay to see if everything was going good. He made it just as comfortable as staying at a friend’s house. He gave great recommendations on restaurants, activities and local fishing holes. Always prompt with responses. His house is beautiful and very clean with everything you could possibly want or need. The town of Matlacha is beautiful and the townspeople are so welcoming. A small town old world feel on a beautiful island. We will definitely be back.

Great canal front!

We enjoyed our vacation in this house! Matlacha is such a great little community and all the neighbors made us feel right at home! The house was well-decorated, clean and organized. Joe was a great host and gave us a run down of everything that was available, upon our arrival. Great internet access and plenty of TVs. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook or grill, it even has a rice cooker and crock pot. We took a fishing charter with Captain Bill Russell (fishpineisland.com) and the next door neighbor took us out on his Tiki Boat (captainjackboattours.com). There was great food nearby as well. Plenty of amazing water front restaurants and shops nearby. In the evening we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and watching dolphins in the canal. Would definitely stay here again!!!

We stayed here while our home was being repaired after a flood. We had to extend our stay twice as our home was not yet livable. Joe was very easy to work with during this process. We ended up staying 38 days in all. This is a lovely little home on the canal in Matlacha. The neighborhood is adorable. Our friends in town were able to park their boat right there in front of the house, and we really enjoyed the outdoor areas of the house. There's a screen porch and two patio setups. Right on the water, it is charming, especially at night. The house was perfect for my husband and me. Bathrooms are small, but there are two of them, so we each had our own. The owner totally remodeled this house after Ian, and everything in there is new and upgraded. Nice furniture and accessories. The king bed is comfy. We didn't use the other bed.. If I had another occasion to rent VRBO in Matlacha, I would definitely try to get this property again. The kitchen is compact but well stocked. I was even able to pull off a Thanksgiving dinner here! I would highly recommend this property with no reservations. Perfect for a couple.

Nostalgia

I grew up on this island, and it holds a place in my soul. All the good times with friends, and my grandparents when they were with us. I’m happy to see things coming back after hurricane Ian. Joes place is inviting, comfortable and with water at your back door. I was able to bring my boat, and leave to explore as easy as starting .my car..Sunsets on Matlacha are second to no other place I’ve been. Joe was a great host, calling daily to see if there was anything I needed. Really nothing was needed. The home was very accommodating in itself. I will be back soon. This time I won’t back my boat onto your lawn Joe. Didn’t realize it was going to take the whole front yard and into the street. I know next time. Thanks again for allowing me to stay in your beautiful home .

Excellent birthday trip for my wife and friends

The property manager stayed in touch qith us and made sure we were happy. The place was great, cool when it needed to be and open when it was necessary. Four adults fit comfortably without being in each other’s way. The hot tub was fun too. Beautiful nights under the stars. Being located right next door to Captain Jacks tour boats was a huge plus. And very convenient Would definitely rebook this location in the future

So quiet and relaxing

We rang in the New Year here with one other couple. It was perfect for a long weekend. Joe has thought of everything. The house is very well stocked and comfortable. What you see in the pictures is what you get. We loved the screen porch and the hot tub. Sitting beside the water is so peaceful. We slept like babies. It’s so quiet. We also enjoyed a cruise around Matlacha with Captain Jack next door. Well worth the trip.
