This beautiful property in Lake Ann village is perfect for whatever you want to do in the area. This trip was a family visit from my niece. The nest is delightfully decorated and has everything you need!
We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and comfortable, and we especially loved relaxing on the lovely porch. The neighborhood is a perfect example of small-town America—peaceful, friendly, and welcoming. We enjoyed visiting a local restaurant with live music next door, which added a special touch to our trip.It was a bit warm our first night with no A/C in the bedroom, but the host responded promptly and installed a window unit the next morning. That made our second and third nights much more comfortable, and we really appreciated the quick resolution. Overall, a great stay in a charming community!
Great location for a concert at Interlochen and exploring the cute Northern Michigan lake towns. We enjoyed bike riding the trails, shopping and dining.
This was just the right size for my husband and I. The gardens are so beautiful you can't help but relax. The location is close to everthing, but far enough to be away from the crowds. Lake Ann is a little gem
This home is charming, the suites have everything one can need, and the property includes beautiful gardens and fountains. I have stayed here twice now and loved both experiences!
This property is absolutely gorgeous and the apartment is charming, comfortable and very clean. The private front porch is dreamy. Lake Ann is a cute little village with a coffee shop, brewery and restaurant a short walk away. It was the perfect location for a trip up to Traverse City one day and Sleeping Bear Dunes another day. We loved this place!
The apartment was exactly as listed. We enjoyed the private porch, meeting the dogs, and the convenience of the location for the Sleeping Bear region. Wonderful stay.

We had a great time staying here and exploring the National Lakeshore. Barb was very flexible and responsive, and had obviously worked hard to ensure everything we could need was available. The house and gardens were beautiful, and a very short walk to Lake Ann's restaurant, brewery, ice cream, general store, etc. Overall we just had a really great stay!
Barb creates magic with her gardens and a comfortable space with all of the amenities needed for a relaxing stay in Northern Michigan. Perfect location with lots of beauty and charm. Will definitely be back!
Everything we wanted. Beautiful, clean, well appointed, and stocked with anything you could need! Location was quiet yet convenient. 20 to 30 minutes to all area destinations/attractions. Barb and Dash were wonderful hosts!
Enjoyed everything about our stay, from the gorgeous gardens to the eclectic artwork. So clean, comfortable and welcoming. We were able to walk around the co1rner to eat pizza outside and enjoy live music. Barb was super attentive to any questions or requests. Look forward to our next visit. CA. W
We stayed here for three nights, which was the final leg of our eight-night trip back to our home state. Although we didn't spend much time on the property while traveling the area, we thoroughly enjoyed the time we did spend there. The place has everything, very well decorated, a bit funky, and lots of fun. Barb was very accommodating and wished we could have spent a bit of time with her, but via text, she was very responsive. So many nice touches, both inside and out on the wrap-around porch. We had been hoping to do our lodging in Traverse City when setting the trip up a few months back, but due to the Fourth, there were slim pickings. As it turned out, this was the better pick! In terms of location, probably more central than TC when it comes to visiting the overall area. So - there has to be one negative, right? I'm including TC with this as well, there just aren't many breakfast places, we never saw one! :)
This was in the perfect location for all the things we like to do in the area. The front porch was a dream - the perfect spot to begin and end the day. We had everything we could need or want. And Barb (and Ivo and Dash the spaniels) were very friendly!
The host, Barb, went above and beyond. She was very welcoming and her communication skills were excellent. She also provided us with several restaurant recommendations and tips. There is a great coffee house just a 5-minute walk from the Nestt.
The amenities and decor exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend staying at this adorable, quaint, private apartment.
We hope to visit again!
The property is very attractive, beautiful gardens, wonderful porch to sit and enjoy. The bed was very comfy and the apartment was tastefully decorated. The Village of Lake Ann has a general store that has just about anything that you would need/want. There is a little beach on Lake Ann that was quite cute. Lake Michigan was only about 12 miles away and there were a couple of beaches that we went to, located in Sleeping Bear Dunes national park. Barb Hood, the owner was very accommodating! Definitely would recommend this property.
The unit was well represented in the pictures. It's two rooms that includes a small kitchen and bathroom. It was perfect for my staying visiting in laws on the west side of Traverse City, which was only about 18 minutes away.
The unit is literally within a few hundred feet of downtown Lake Ann, which included a nice brewery with live entertainment. The location is perfect if you like to hike. There are a number of trails close by. The landscaping and the front porch were well done. I enjoyed hanging out and reading for a bit.
I will likely be staying here again.
