The Two Griffins - Apartament No. 1

Our suite has been fully renovated and consists of two bedrooms (one double bedroom and one with sofa bed), a bathroom with shower and a balcony with panoramic views. The apartment has air conditioning / heating, TV Smart 32 "LED satellite, wi-fi, coffee machine and hairdryer.
The change of linen is provided and guaranteed weekly.
The price of the apartment is rented exclusively for the stay of two people in a double bedroom. If guests wish to use the sofa bed, a surcharge of 25 euros is required for the entire period.
The apartment has no private parking. The nearest car park, called Parking Porta Pasquale, is located about 150 meters from the apartment. Parking is public and a fee. The ticket costs 14 Euros for 24 hours or 22 euro for 48 hours.
The accommodation is situated in the historic center of Taormina is about 50 meters from Corso Umberto, the main street of the city.
Within walking distance are the bus stop and the cable car station linking the city to the sea (Mazzaro and Isola Bella).
The Greek Theatre is 250 meters from the apartment.

Wonderful place to stay

Owner greeted us when we arrived. Wonderful location and the room was all we needed. Nice to have a kitchen area. Enjoyed wine on the balcony as well as roof top area. We enjoyed the view,suntanning and playing ping-pong. Having a laundry was very helpful since we will b in Italy for over a month. Highly recommend

Great place

I definitely recommend this place. It’s located in a great part of town. Morning coffee on the balcony or late night wine on the balcony watching everybody, very nice. Vincenzo, a very good host, very accommodating, easily accessible. The unit was immaculate. The rooftop was incredible. If you’re going to Taormina it is best not to rent a car. Parking is extremely difficult in Taormina.

A Great Adventure

If we could give Vincent and his apartment 6 stars we would. The apartment was wonderfully clean and part way through our stay our sheets and towels were changed and apartment cleaned. We loved the hustle and bustle on our deck during the day. People watching. The street is busy with buses and taxis.

Perfect location in Taorminia

Fantastic property in a great location. We loved this appartment for it's great location, less than a minutes walk from the main gate of old Taorminia. The appartment was very comfortable and clean and despite being on a busy road, we were not disturbed by any traffic at night. The roof terrace was an extra bonus, with lovely fantastic sea views, lots of spacious seating and lounging areas. We spent a couple of afternoons up there when we needed to get away from the bustling streets of the town. The host was very helpful with information and always available, although we didn't need to contact him at all as everything was perfect for our stay......would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation and location are very good but unfortunately we had to leave one night earlier which had been confirmed and not told about this until we arrived therefore it was up to us to find somewhere else which was difficult and more expensive (being a one night stay). That was disappointing

Nice location in Taormina

A great little place in Taormina for a short stay. Public parking is just down the hill, and you can unload your bags right in front of the building. Several restaurants and cafes nearby, and an InCoop grocery store is behind the building and a couple of blocks over (very easy and fast walk). Great pizza place for a quick bite to eat right next to the building. The Porta Messina is a 5 minute walk from the front door, and what lies beyond is an amazing old town area with plenty of great shopping and excellent restaurants. My only regret is that we did not have time to enjoy the rooftop! Vincenzo is very helpful and accommodating.

Taormina and I Due Grifoni Appartments

We have just had a lovely week in Taormina. The property was situated in a perfect location - close to the Messina Gate, the cable car, bus station etc. We made the decision to base ourselves in the town so at night we were able to walk within 5 minutes for bars and restaurants and then make our own way down to the beach during the day. Its a good walk down and up but doable! The property itself was perfect, very clean and very well equipped. A lovely roof terrace available also for sitting on. This was our first trip to Sicily and would recommend Taormina to anyone. Vincenzo the owner is really helpful and responds to any queries very promptly. Would recommend the appartment too and think it has been advertised accurately.

Awesome in Every Way

To summarize our stay, I must first say that a truly wonderful suite, in what I consider a perfect location in Taormina, was made even better by its tremendous host, Vincenzo. Communication prior to our stay was fantastic, with very fast response times and thorough answers from Vincenzo. Upon arrival to Taormina, we phoned him and he arrived to meet us in a few short minutes, then gave a very thorough overview and tour of the property and its magnificent rooftop terrace. Vincenzo is outgoing, funny, extremely knowledgeable of the area and its history, and understandably proud of his very lovely property. We stayed in Suite number 1, which was absolutely beautiful, sparkling clean, roomy, and exactly as pictured in the listing. A huge bonus of this suite is its private balcony, which we made much use of. The rooftop terrace is a place we loved and already miss very much. We would take away food from local markets or restaurants and eat it on the terrace because of the stunning views of the Ionian Sea, the Roman ruins immediately in front of the property, and the Church of San Pancrazio just a few steps away. In the evening, watching the local activity with a glass of local wine was so entertaining! Pay close attention to the hand-painted tables made of Mt. Etna stone - they are amazing. Regarding the location, it is a short walk from the bus terminal, the gondola to the beaches, the famous Greek/Roman Theater, and steps away from Porta Messina, one of the two entry points to the Corso Umberto (Taormina's "main" street). Simply put, the property and its manager exceeded our high expectations in every way.

Taormina is beautiful full of historical sites to visit.

Apartment was superb, spotless inside and perfect location for the historic centre. The roof terrace was amazing, plenty of room to sunbathe or sit in the shade. Lovely views of the sea.
