About this property

Lakefront cottage on Echo Lake

Two-Sky Lake House sits right on the shore of Echo Lake in northern Vermont. Echo lake is regarded as one of the cleanest lakes in VT. The crystal clear lake waters are excellent for swimming, boating, fishing, bird watching and relaxing. Looking south you have an excellent view of Bald Mountain and across the lake is an iconic VT red barn and working farm.

This property is not a party or gathering place. Best for 1-2 guests wishing a quiet retreat.
We strive to be courteous to our neighbors. Artists, outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife appreciators are most welcome. It is a one bedroom, small septic home on the lake we wish to share with those willing to adhere to our wishes. Preservation of our home and lake quality is most important. Thank you.

Renting Saturday to Saturday, seven night minimum during June, July and August.
No wake boats, it's not that kind of a lake.

Two-Sky is aptly named because of the calm reflections in the evening hours. This location also provides privacy on either side. I love sitting, watching and listening to the loons, and sometimes the most commotion on the lake are the loons! The country dirt road around the lake is exactly 5 miles and is excellent for jogging, biking or walking. There are accessible hiking trails right from the property.

This one bedroom lake house has been newly acquired and is getting a little face lift.
2020 Updates year of purchase: new cedar siding, rug removal, rearrangement of appliances.
2021 updates. Installed tile and wide pine flooring! Improved deck. New doors. Dishwasher.
2022 updates. Installed wide pine flooring in bedroom. Updated bathroom features. New raft.
2023 updates. deck picnic table.

Nice quiet location for a romantic get away. We have a dock for your boat and a raft for diving. We have mostly sand with a few rocks underwater for sitting. No beach. Dock to step in water at 12"-14" deep.

This is a beautiful location with many outdoor opportunities.

We hope to share this you!
Thank you!

We currently have a mini electric organ in the living room.
I'm trying to find a home for my grandmothers organ so the configuration is a little different from the living room pictures.

The view here is absolutely breathtaking. Great hosts. Cottage is on a pristine lake. Best part for us was the peace and quiet. We just loved our stay and hope to return.

Quiet getaway for two? This is the place!
If you’re looking for a quiet, private, waterfront property to get away from it all, this is it! The house was so charming and cozy. It was everything we were looking for. If we weren’t hiking Bald Mountain, fishing Eco Lake or Seymour Lake (two small mouth bass!) or visiting the beautiful nearby town of Newport, we were on the deck. The deck is partially outfitted with a shade cloth which we were thankful for; midday in late July got quite warm. We brought a blow up mattress and slept outside on the deck, looking at the Milky Way, watching the Perseids meteor shower while listening to the magical song of the Loons. It really doesn’t get much more perfect than that. We didn’t need to communicate with Mark or Bonnie; everything was exactly as described in the listing. We did send them some photos and videos to share the fun we were having at their home, their responses were immediate. I wish we could have stayed longer. P.S. The water pressure and the shower were spot on!

Peaceful and relaxing
A quiet and serene spot. Simply delightful week filled with downtime. Jigsaw puzzle, reading a great book and listening to the loons across the lake.
