This cabin is exactly as described on VRBO. The setting is beautiful. We especially enjoyed kayaking on the pond. It was hard to have to leave at the end of the week.
A great camp! Has a nice yard with a deck located directly on a quiet pond which feels like a small lake. Enjoyed the sites and sounds of Northern Vermont. Off the beaten path with several options nearby for outdoor activities. I had good experience in working with the owners and hope to be back soon.
I had another great stay here at this lovely cabin on Center Pond! The weather was very soggy during my stay, but that did not stop my pup and I from getting soe paddle board sessions in! I got to spend a lot of good family time with my parents in Island Pond as well! I realy love coming back to this place, and look forward to doing it again just as soon as we get a chance!
This little cabin is _rustic_ and _cozy_, which we were prepared for. A few glitches: very fishy-smelling freezer; the floor in the main room is slanted, so much so that things go rolling off the table and the oil in a pan on the stove pools on one side. Anyone with stability issues might face challenges. Other issues: a leaking shower door or frame; natural/regional and partial power outages (the bathroom power goes out--we figured it out on our own after not getting much help with phone calls to the owners). You will be largely on your own here, so be prepared for that; the cell service comes and goes.
The setting is sublime; the porch facing the pond is where we spent most of our time on site. Very lovely, kind, and helpful neighbors. The sound of the loons conversing is beautiful.

Gorgeous location, quiet and out of the way.
Unfortunately an unaddressed plumbing issue cut our stay short. We left in less than 36 hrs.
Owner was gracious and refunded our rent.
I hope it gets fixed.
Family favorites were kayaking, rope swinging, swimming/lounging on the sand bar, watching the loons, the fire pit and amazing stargazing. Bummed there wasn’t a hammock like was pictured in the listing, but overall we were content for the week. Loved that it was pet friendly and our doggos got to enjoy vacay with us!
My mother and I spent a week at this beautiful cabin. We had the best and most relaxing time. Waking up on the lake everyday was just amazing. Listening to the loons and drinking coffee on the deck was so peaceful. We highly recommend this cabin for your stay away from the everyday. Thank you for shari g your home with us.
Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin! It gave my wife daughter, and pooch time to unplug and reconnect! It also gave us a great opportunity to visit family in Island Pond! While we stayed at this cabin, we enjoyed the serenity of beautiful Center Pond, and watching and hearing the loons! We also got to train our dog how to stand up paddle board! So many memories were made here at this cabin, and we will never forget this little slice of heaven! Thanks you so much for sharing your property, and we will totally seek you all out for another visit as soon as we can!
Great little cabin, clean and well-equipped for my 2 week stay with 3 dogs (extra cleaning fee for more than 1 dog but very reasonable). Friendly neighbors - a few more around than it appears from the photos but all very welcoming even with my three dogs. Great to have access to the water for boating - not ideal for swimming right in front of the house as it is quite shallow/muddy but a tip from the owner to take the kayak and find the sandbar over beyond the reed bed visible from the house and there is better swimming from there (deeper water on the far side of the pond and a rope swing into the water on that far side too!). Would definitely go back and stay again!
This cottage is located waterfront on an idyllic pond in Caledonia County. It’s great for unplugging - no wifi, no cable, no tv. Cell service usually worked outside on the deck. There was a large, freshly mown lawn for our dog to play on. There are about 5 other cottages in the immediate area, and a shared pond access. During our stay, we saw the occasional friendly camper accessing the pond on the property. To give you an idea of how close the other cottages are: we were able to hear the other families chatting around their campfires at normal conversational volume. Everyone was very friendly, and we had a quiet, relaxing week. The hosts are offsite, but always available when needed.
It’s long been my dream to spend time on a lake in the woods… This fulfilled it. The cabin was very cozy and we loved sitting on the deck watching the loons, the reflection of the clouds and movement in the water. I have never been in a place where it was so quiet. The sky at night was magnificent!
We had trouble locating the driveway down to the cabin, but once we found it, it was no longer an issue. Although… being a city girl, I wasn’t crazy about that road.. i found it a little difficult to navigate.
Our hosts were very responsive to a couple of minor issues that we had: they delivered a brand new DVD player as soon as they we told them we had difficulty using the one that was there.
We love St. Johnsbury. Our host told us about her niece’s yarn shop across the street from the Athenaeum. It is called Yarn Bank. A charming shop, and I was able to find the perfect buttons for a knitting project I was completing as well as yarn for a new project. If you are a knitter or crocheter… Don’t miss that gem!
We will be back!

We really enjoyed the cabin. It's rustic but cozy. The view was spectacular and we really appreciated the use of the kayaks. Loons and hummingbirds and woodpeckers but no moose sightings -- too bad!

Cozy cabin, lovely spot on the lake
Wonderful week, well-equipped cabin, outstanding spot on Center Pond.
We had such a lovely vacation at this cabin - so appreciate the cleanliness, the w/d set up, the location was PERFECT! So quiet, peaceful. Very nice neighbor to the left who shared the swimming spots with us...great to have the kayaks there and we had such fun paddling with our pup Lily along the shores. I can't wait to return here next year!! Thank you Jennifer for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

My wife and two young daughters had a wonderful time at this little retreat. It’s a cozy place that has all of the amenities you could need. My girls loved paddling out in the rowboat to do some fishing and watching the loon families do their fishing. We’ll certainly be back.
Beautiful views on a quiet lake. Loons and beaver swam by every day. I would recommend bringing a tube or raft to float out to swim. The lake front is mucky.

Cabin was small and cozy. Perfect for our family of 4. It is a bit on the rustic side, but still provided us with everything we needed. The deck overlooking the lake was absolutely perfect. I would wake up, make my coffee and sit outside all day until the sun went down. So quiet and peaceful. So many visits from hummingbirds and a family of geese. Even our teens put away their screens to enjoy the kayaks, fishing, and playing numerous of card and board games.

Beautiful, Quiet Location!
A perfect little place.
I could sit on the deck and watch my child enjoy the lake safely. Plenty touristy type shops and groceries within a reasonable distance. Can’t wait to visit again next year!
