Beautiful location, close to the lake store and both beaches. It definitely is rustic just as it says :) we loved every minute. We were fortunate enough to have a mild thunderstorm our first night. The metal roof made it so peaceful sleeping. Beds are super comfy too.

This pet friendly cottage was just the get away for us and our guests from Ohio. (My 4yo grandaughter called it the cabbage, cabincottage)Quiet, private, and so many things included down to the beach towels and bug spray. Close to conveniences without being surrounded. Amazing stay.

Basic, cozy cottage in a gorgeous place. We didn't need anything fancy in order to enjoy our few late summer days in the Northeast Kingdom! Just a few minutes from Lake Willoughby and an easy home base for local hikes and other places to visit. You can definitely feel the "beloved grandparent" vibe in this cottage. Anyone who has/had beloved grandparents in their life will understand the treasure of that. The cooking set-up is best for simple, quick meals almost as if you are camping. Rather than anything elaborate. We didn't bring any groceries that were quite right for the propane grill on the deck but I would do that in the future.

Great Stay

Very clean and nice cottage. Perfect stay with my wife and 2 young daughters. Grill on the deck, and great location. Can’t wait to visit again next year.

We had a truly meaningful stay at this rustic cabin near Lake Willoughby. We were there for a whole week and chose this spot for a very personal reason—to scatter my beloved father-in-law’s ashes as per his wishes—and the peaceful, serene atmosphere provided the perfect setting for us to honor his memory. In a beautiful twist of fate, we discovered while there that my father-in-law had actually known the grandmother whose family cottage this originally was, which made our time there feel even more special and connected. We like rustic and so this place was perfect for us. The cabin is perfectly nestled in nature, offering a quiet, soulful retreat. We enjoyed the lovely deck, which is a fantastic spot to take in the surroundings. It’s also very convenient that there is plenty of parking space available and check-in was easy. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric hot plate and toaster oven, but there is no microwave, so plan your meals accordingly. We brought own soaps and shampoos. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape in a beautiful part of Vermont, this is a truly wonderful place to stay.
