I stayed here for 10 days with my husband, 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. The house was newly renovated, beautiful and thoughtfully stocked. The location could not have been better, 15 minute walk to the beach and shopping. The owner and the house manager were welcoming and very responsive and even helped me arrange housekeeping (for an extra fee). We would definitely love to come back and stay here again!

This is a lovely property, it has all of the charm of Montecito with the large oak trees and green foliage, while been a stone's throw away from Coast Village shops and the beach. We have three small children and the quaint yard was more than enough to keep their imaginations busy during our stay. The layout of the house was also conducive for multi-aged guests as it felt that there were separate "zones" with privacy. The host, Jennifer was highly communicative throughout the entire process, addressing every question thoughtfully. She was very generous with use of their games closet, bikes, and other amenities on the property. Lastly, we happened to be up in Montecito when most of the shops, beaches, restaurants were closed due to COVID, and Jennifer accommodated our concerns and assured us that we still had many options and would enjoy our stay (which we did!). We would absolutely stay at this property again, top notch location and host!

In these times, it's difficult to find a place where you can forget the troubles of the world for a minute and relax (especially with young children). But the house on Butterfly Lane didn't disappoint. From the start of the reservation process, the host was extremely communicative--letting us know about all of the amenities that were at our disposal like bicycles, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc.. We were two families with 4 kids between us (ages 8-10 years) so we needed to know that there were a lot of activities to keep them busy. She also told us about remodel features that weren't quite up-to-date yet (like window curtains arriving late) and provided the solution (brand new sleep masks to keep out the light). Highlights of the house for us were: the close proximity to Butterfly Beach (a beach frequented mostly by locals) and the village restaurants with patio seating; 5 adult bikes (so we only had to bring the kid bikes) which we rode around the beautiful neighborhood; the huge master suite upstairs which we let the kids take over so that they had a place to hang out (carpeted so very little noise) and sit on their own balcony; and of course the rustic front yard with sprawling oak tree providing a canopy of shade and a playground for all kinds of birds, squirrels, bunnies, and chipmunks for us to watch. We wheeled the grill over to the outdoor dining table so my husband could grill while we drank a bottle of chardonnay left for us by the owner. She also welcomed us with a sweet gift for our girls who were celebrating their birthdays. I highly recommend this home for families. We can't wait to come back!

A beautiful home that helps you relax from the moment you arrive. It's set in Montecito with easy access to the beach and the town (both of Montectito and Santa Barbara). It was a perfect balance of feeling truly away while having all the comforts of easy access to everything you need and want. The property owner is really easy to communicate with and is helpful with finding fun things to do. We had a hard time saying good-bye.

After living abroad for 15 years, 7 years ago we moved to and fell in love with life in beautiful, sunny Santa Barbara. We rented around the corner and when this home came available to purchase in December 2019, we jumped at the chance to stay in this incredible neighborhood with arguably the best walkability in town. We reno'd the first half of the property prior to moving in in April 2020, most of the second half in 2021 (all but the master bath), and landscaped in 2022.
