The house was great, the views were magnificent, the amenities and facilities were as described and adequate. The area is close to a lot of state parks and local sights so there is a lot to do. It would be great to have a path down to the lake directly from the house, instead of having to drive or walk down the road, even if it is less than a mile but to be fair it was clearly mentioned in the description.
nice clean kitchen , hot tub has great view of the lakevery peaceful surroundings , could only here nature .... very serene . It had a fantastic entertainment / movie room . Very comfortable with cushy seating .Family friendly , enjoyed my stay
We couldn’t have had a more perfect spot for our vacation. The house is beautiful, had everything we could need and the location is spectacular. We would definitely recommend this as a destination and might make it a yearly stay.
We were very happy with our stay. This is a great location for us, Quiet and clean. This home is perfect for our family visit. We hope that we can enjoy your home again.
Home location was perfect. We spent time in Nashville and Chattanooga during our stay. The home is centrally located in between both cities about 1hr and 20 mins from both, which made it nice to have options on what to spend time doing. The home was well stocked with basic items we needed and applainces worked. The view was a highlight each evening as the sun went down. This is the type of home my family and I look for each year. Its lived in but maintained well enough for the things a family looking for a change of scenery for a week would expect.
This place is absolutely amazing! The first view when you walk into the home is of the lake and trees. Sooo gorgeous! High ceilings, big kitchen, 2 living rooms, lots of beds and a beautiful deck with LOTS of seating. And plenty of room to not feel crowded. Definitely would stay here again!
Amazing home with lots of space! The view of the lake is beautiful. Host was great as well. Instructions for in and out were exactly as stated. No issues getting in. Children enjoyed the multiple games and things they had for them to do. And the hot tub hit just right in the chilly afternoons! Thank you to the host again for sharing their home with us.
We had a amazing stay at this wonderful property. The house was beautiful and clean. There was so much for our kids to do. They never got bored! The owner was very responsive during our stay. I would highly recommend this property.
No one paints a sunset like our Creator and He paints a masterpiece here every evening. We didn’t know much about this area but came to love the beauty of the area. We enjoyed hiking, waterfalls, and lots of great food in this surprisingly pleasant community. We will visit again!
This house was wonderful through and through. Beautiful home with everything you need and more. The beds in this house are outstanding for a house on Vrbo. Many other rentals I have stayed in would have mattresses that you would expect to find in a low rate hostel but not this place. I slept like a baby which made this place even better since we were visiting for work and needed to be sharp and well rested. I would highly recommend this property.
We had a wonderful, amazing, restful stay! We always go on vacation right after Christmas to recover from all the craziness, and this place was just fab. It was large and clean and home-y and just great. Our only suggestion would be to get some un-serrated knives for the kitchen. Everything else was perfect. Absolutely perfect. The owners were kind, the view was spectacular--just perfect.
A week of adventure. The house was amazing and the view is better than advertised. A birders dream with the birdseye view in the trees and close to the water. Just a few minutes from waterfalls and the lake. We rented pontoons on Tims Ford and journeyed to Chatanooga for additional adventures. We ran into some car problems and Stephen helped us find tools and offered to come out and help. After a week we were ready for more. Thanks again.
The home is beautiful and the view is spectacular! We loved being able to relax with room to spread out. The huge dining room table allowed for us all to gather and play many card games and we shared lots of laughter. I loved having morning coffee on the deck over looking the lake. The host was very easy to contact and replied to my questions right away. We would love to come back someday. My husband was able to use the boat and trailer to fish and caught a huge Gar Pike. The Hot Tub was a wonderful way to watch the stunning sunsets! The only improvement would be minor updates in the bathrooms and some hanging space in the master bedroom. This is an amazing place to stay!
We had no extra toilet paper, no soap or shampoo. The owner ordered some and told us how to access the extra toilet paper. The kitchen had no coffee, bought some and left it. The kitchen could use some plastic serving bowls ( for chips and dip). The master has no blinds, it did last time we stayed there.

We are sorry to hear things did not meet expectations this time around Marianne, and will certainly work to improve for next time around. To clarify, the cleaning crew did confirm that they left two rolls of TP in each restroom along with liquid hand soap and new bar soap in each of the 3 restrooms. However as stated we provided access to our supply closet for extra as 6 rolls of TP is our norm.
Coffee is sometimes hit and miss depending on how much previous guest used or left with quick turnarounds, but we typically try to keep stocked and always leave our personal supply.
The blinds were certainly an issue and being replaced currently as they were damaged by the guest before you.
My apologies again that the stay did not meet your expectations this time around, but thank you again for staying with us.
The house has an amazing view. Beautiful. We were disappointed that there was no trailer as advertised to take canoe/kayaks down to lake. A big part of why we rented this property. Owner said probably too cold but we actually kayaked in cold Michigan a week before our trip, lesson learned to confirm amenities important to you before booking. May have chose different property and may have rented vehicle instead of taking my truck with ball hitch. We could not get out on Normandy Lake ( couldn’t find anywhere to rent a boat but it was still early spring) Rented pontoon on Tim Ford Lake and had a lot of fun . Had some issues but Stephen was quick to respond. Visited over a half dozen waterfalls and a couple caves.got some great pictures. Great place.
