The house is great especially for family vacations. Clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need for cooking and entertaining with the family. The location is terrific and the owners are a pleasure.
This place is a jewel. Comfortable and clean. We felt like we home. Just across the street from the beach. We totally enjoyed this home, and look forward to staying there again.
We had a wonderful time in February at your beautiful home in Tahoe Meadows.
Your home is stocked with everything you need.
Thank you for sharing your home!

Awful check in process
Great house in terms of the number of rooms and places to sleep, as well as the location being close to the lake. However, the beach in the housing community is smaller than expected so you can’t really hang out there since it’s between two houses. Also, the owners should improve on their processes. I had booked the house about 6 months prior to our stay and a few days before our trip I realized I never received instruction on the check in process and how we would get the keys. I emailed the owner asking what the process was and he said he mailed me the keys a couple weeks before to my billing address from when I booked (seriously, who mails the keys?!). Unfortunately I had moved since I booked the house so the keys were sent to my old address and I was given no prior notice so I didn’t have the opportunity to give my current address. The owner then overnighted me a new set of keys which I got in time, so I thought everything worked out.
That was until I received the statement regarding my security deposit refund and he had charged me $30 to cover the FedEx charge for the second set of keys. I asked the owner why I was charged and he said that he didn’t feel he should be responsible for that cost just because I had moved. I explained to him that I didn’t think that was fair because I was given no prior notice on how I would obtain the keys and if I had known they were being mailed than I could have given him my correct address, as well as the hypothetical of what if my billing address was different than my mailing. Not to mention that if I hadn’t been proactive and inquired beforehand than I never would have been able to get into the house which would have created a lot more issues. After some back and forth he still refused to refund me what he deducted even though it was not my fault that he mailed them to my old address without my knowledge, any prior notification, of any follow up to make sure they were received.
All in all, it’s a good house but BEWARE of the ownership being unorganized and nickel and diming you.
We absolutely loved our stay. Being walking distance to the beach was a huge plus for our group. The public beaches around South Lake were all packed, but the beach by our house was quiet and comfortable. Can't imagine having a better spot!
What an amazing house and location. Perfect for family fun inside and out. Short walk to the beach and stores and restaurants. We sincerely did not want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay and sharing your house with us. It was the best time!!
From beginning to end we enjoyed our experience. Communication with the owner was all positive even after I got my dates mixed up and had to adjust. The place was clean and spacious and had almost everything necessary for a comfortable stay. I say almost because some of the bedrooms lacked a closet or any way to hang up clothes. There was an iron and ironing board however for wrinkles. Tahoe Meadows is a unique place, a peaceful, natural oasis set in over-developed SLT. I had to contact the caretaker regarding the TV and he got right back to me and we solved the problem. I have no complaints.
Property owner was accommodating witch made our experience extra special.
Cabin is beautiful and location was perfect for our group because of the lake. Casino was walking distance for those who wanted some adult time. We will defiantly come back.
Finally had a place where the Family was comfortable with enough space, you’re minutes from everything and best of all at a competitive rate. If am traveling with the family in Tahoe this is the house I want to come back too!
The house was great. We had almost both my wife and myself's whole family together for my 60th birthday. The house fit us all in. Three minutes to the beach. Yard for the kids to play. Close to the state line.
The property was perfect amount of space .. for the amount of family we have . Since Covid it's been difficult to get us all together for a lil vacation ! This was the perfect alternative & everyone enjoyed themselves . The kids were not on their tablets as often . And never plugged in the ps4 !!! Overall the best trip to date & very close to casinos
The place was nice and clean in a great location. Cabin close to the lake, stores, shopping center and casino. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. we would definitely consider this cabin for our next trip.
Loved the location, if you love the outdoors, Tahoe is a great place to vacay! The house was in a good location and you have access to the lake. Everything was close by and the house had bikes we could use. Excellent for riding around the neighborhood and riding to the stores. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen had two fridges and 2 sinks which was very useful for a huge family. All bathrooms were remodeled and clean. The upstairs bathroom sink was a little clogged, so it wasn’t running as smoothly, but other than that the house was great. I definitely would stay there again.
It’s A big and confortable cabin, plenty of room for our group size. It is located in a convenient, quite and private place.
I love the big kitchen and dining room, enough seats for all of us.
Only 2 details I would like to said about his cabin is that the beds are a little bit hard and we noticed a lot of dust and spider webs all around the house . Just to keep an eye on the maintenance, because it’s a nice property .
Over all it was a good experience staying here and we really appreciated the flexibility of the owner!!
Really this place is wonderful is neutral if you like to go to the casino is close if you want to go to the supermarket is close if you like to go to the lake is close everything is very close The communication with the owner was excellent.
The location is close to almost everywhere in Heavenly. The house is more comfortable than the pictures. It’s very convenient to have two refrigerators and two washing machines in the kitchen. There is even a piano so the kids can play.
If you are looking for a cozy place with a perfect view and a special place To create memories go
For it super clean and the neighborhood really nice and calm a great place to relax!!!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. I gave cleanliness a 4 star because there were cobwebs and the carpets could use a cleaning. But other than that, it was clean. We had a party of 19 (one being an infant) and we all fit perfectly without feeling like we were cramped. We stayed in November for Thanksgiving. It snowed, which was fun for the kids to play in. We had to contact the caretaker a couple times for maintenance issues and he was very prompt and courteous. Thank you for letting us stay!
It’s like being in a secluded, country cabin but with all the convenience of being in town. Excellent location with beautiful scenery and close to many attractions.
Plenty of room, two ovens, two dishwashers, two sinks to accommodate lots of yummy cooking. Sets right off the beach and. Close to town. Hidden off the main roads where you have privacy and enjoying time with family and friends away from the hustle and bustle that the city brings to our front doorsteps. Perfect getaway!
Close to the beach, close to Stateline, very quiet and private. Very well equipped with amenities for the beach, outdoor and indoor activities. We will rent this house again for a large group!
Tahoe Meadows is a historic landmark with a full time security and recreation director.
Cabin is huge and well equipped. We had a wonderful time. Just remember you’re staying in a private gated community. Obey the rules and you’ll be fine

About the host
Hosted by Jill Shinkle
My parents first rented this cabin in July 1990, and then bought it the next year. Since then it has continued to be a great gathering place for three generations of our family -- with incredible summer and winter memories throughout the decades. My children and nieces and nephews grew up coming every summer for our annual 4th of July gathering, where they would ride bikes, swim, kayak, hike, play pool while singing along to the juke box, and win blue ribbons in the balloon toss and sand castle contest. Winter memories include Christmas and New Years celebrations, sledding, snowball fights, and skiing at Heavenly and Sierra-at-Tahoe.
Why they chose this property
We love the size and comfort of the cabin, and its location. Tahoe Meadows is very beautiful and peaceful, but it's also close to town, movies, the Casinos, groceries, shops, hikes, and ski resorts. The cabin is super close to the lake, which can be seen from the living room or the front lawn. Inside, there is plenty of space for your group to relax, cook, play pool and board games, listen to the juke box, watch sports on the 65-inch TV, and enjoy fun group dinners in the lake-view dining room that seats 14+.
