We had a lovely stay! Peter was a friendly and welcoming host who graciously allowed us to use their kayaks, which was such a great bonus. The location is beautiful, pet-friendly, and perfect for families with kids. The batch has a lovely old-school charm, with a cosy, nostalgic feel that makes it perfect for a relaxing short getaway. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to others!

We had a lovely one-night stay at Ohiwa Gem. The host Peter was great with communication, friendly and welcoming. The bach was in an excellent location beautiful views, peaceful and just a short stroll to the beach, with Opotiki only a short drive away. It was perfect for our short stay, and we would highly recommend it! Loved it

It’s a very nice waterfront property (tidal estuary), a short walk from an oceanside beach. Beds are on a mezzanine level up a steep staircase, but no problem for us. There’s an extra charge for a one-night stay, and own linen and self-clean are required. Also bring rubbish bags, tea towel etc. Modern house, lovely deck, great birdwatching from the kitchen table! Good bathroom and shower. Wish we had more than one night there. The walk up to the nearby pa site was awesome - amazing coastal views.

Such a lovely location, the bird life is gorgeous, Kereru and Weka, amazing!Lots of fishing, kayaking and beach walks. Perfect place to relax or play.The bach its self was great and everything you need for a break away.
