This home is very tidy, compact but spacious, well appointed, with elevated views of the water. Easy indoor/ outdoor flow, roomy private section bordering the bush, yet close to the water. Nestled between majestic Mt Manaia and the expansive Whangarei Harbour, McLeod's Bay is the perfect holiday playground
Plenty of room to park the boat, and large lawn for children to play safely. Not Wheelchair friendly.
McLeod's Bay has safe swimming, is great for all water pursuits, boats can be launched from the beach. Whangarei Harbour is renowned for fishing and diving with Whangarei Heads having beautiful East Coast beaches, and is the gateway to off shore Islands.
There is a store and cafe/ takeaway within the bay.
A tennis court and numerous walkways and tracks for all fitness levels within short distance. A Service Station is at Parua Bay, (only 8 km away) for fuel, dive and propane, a Four Square, liquor and bakery stores at the shopping center. The Pines Golf course 12 km towards Whangarei.
There are 2 bedrooms, 1 King bed, 2 single beds, and 2 spare mattresses.

Great quiet place
Beautiful view of the harbour, close to great hiking trails, very quiet. We heard kiwi bird calls at night - very special!

Wonderful McLeods bay bach stay
This is a lovely bach in a beautiful quiet bay and had all the amenities that we needed. The view is amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. Our elderly father was easily able to move from the car to inside the bach, no stairs and enjoy the wonderful views. Thanks so muchLiz & whanau

Wonderful batch
We had a great Stay, Calm batch with a Phantastic view, the way to Whangarei was longer than anounced, but the short way to the beautiful Ocean Beach made it up.

Retired farming couple who have lived in the Whangarei district most of their married life. This was a family bach, which was demolished and todays bach was built in 2000.
Why they chose this property
Private, comfortable, easy indoor / outdoor flow. It's all there for a great holiday!!
What makes this property unique
Up a right-of way with a safe playing area for children due to very little traffic movement. Plenty of space for you to bring a boat. Only 100m to safe swimming beach and boat launching. Children's play ground next to the beach. Lovely peaceful view overlooking the harbour. You will hear lots of bird life. Very picturesque walking tracks close by, Mt Mania and Mt Aubrey are in Mcleods bay. Only a few kms to Ocean Beach which is a surf beach.
