Great beach spot. Main house is nicest with the other two sleep spots with a more cabin feel. The beach itself was amazing!

The only issue we had was the main house only having twin beds. We thought it would make more sense to have a full/queen in the main house. That’s the only negative thing about the stay. Everything else was perfect!

We had a wonderful time staying in Ossineke! The location was beautiful with an easy walk to the beach. The beach was clean, and the water was clear. The host provided many amenities to ensure we had a great time in the water. The main house was stocked with all the comforts of home. The small cabin was a bit rustic, but we only used it for sleeping. The bunkhouse is for sleeping only, but I was told how comfy the beds are! Thanks for hosting us — we might be putting this place on our list again next year.

Just bring your suit!

This beautiful beachfront property has absolutely everything you will need! The house has the most well stocked kitchen I've seen in a rental. There are beach towels, chairs and toys galore. The large deck offers relaxation while watching Lake Huron waves roll in!

Memories Were Made

We were there on a father/son dads trip and we all had an amazing time. There was plenty of room for sleeping and the boys had their own place to hang out. The houses were great, the beach was beyond incredible, and the awesome weather made for a perfect long weekend. I hope to bring my entire family back for another stay next summer and/or fall.

Overall, I recommend this lake house!Good: 1. The beach is great! The water is shallow enough for small kids to touch bottom, the bottom is sand with no rocks, and the water was calm. The shore has some grasses and beach debris, but it's safe to play on. The beachside fire pit is great.2. The house was cozy and clean. The beds were comfortable for most people's taste. The beach and yard amenities were solid. Plenty of beach and bath towels, just a little shy on wash clothes and hand towels. The deck is fantastic, super spacious and great for getting everyone together. The pictures don't do it justice.3. The owner was very responsive to messages and attentive to issues. Prior to the trip, he even entertained my request to bring a pet, and took the time to call me to discuss it. The Bad:There were three maintenance issues during our stay. The owner handled them quickly, but it would be disingenuous to say it didn't impact our stay. 1. The BBQ was in bad shape and likely unusable. When I informed the owner, he had a new one delivered the next day.2. The cottage hot water heater was broken. Again, plumber was out the next day and replaced it.3. The water is very hard. The main house has a water softening system, but it was failing as our stay ended. The cottage has no softener, so expect very hard water.Overall, a little bad luck and some missed preventative maintenance, but we still enjoyed it. I still recommend it and give 4/5 stars overall.
