Special conditions:
Our crib is not on the grid. It DOES have electricity though! It has a photovoltaic system, that provides 240V for lights, stereo etc. We ask people to be careful with conserving power. There is no TV. Fridge, stove and hot water (plentiful) are all gas-powered. The crib is heated by an amazing log-burner that will have you stripping off layers in no time - entirely double-glazed and super-insulated, the place is really cosy all year round, even with a foot of snow outside.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);
