The property was extremely welcoming and comfortable, with an old world charm. It has a well appointed kitchen and afternoon drinks on the small terrace overlooking the harbour were delightful.

Mabel as described, cute and quirky due to her age that made us smile. The host excellent with comm"s and generous with supplies along with a couple of treats. Location was key to our plans with bonus of fishing right outside the door!.

We had the most amazing stay at Mabel's Cottage. Richard was the perfect host, we can't thank you enough for making us feel so welcome. A little piece of NZ History awaits in this amazing cottage, with beautiful waterfront views of Mill Bay, steps away from walkways with amazing views, a quick stroll to the Mangonui Fish shop. We will certainly be back, thank you again!

We had such a lovely time in Mangonui and Mabel’s was the best part. The sweetest little cottage with everything we needed and more. The wine and homemade bread were unexpected touches. The history of the home, the location, and the lovely decor all made for our best stay ever.

Mabels was the perfect place to spend a long weekend and celebrate my birthday. The cottage was clean and full of everything we could have needed. As Mabel is part of my extend whanau we enjoyed all the little touches to the history of the area and Mabels family. Will definitely be back.
Mabel's in Mangonui is a delightful waterfront setting and impressive views. Richard is a welcoming host. The cosy cottage is in a prime location near shops and the bay and made for an incredibly enjoyable experience. Overall, it was a highly recommended and enjoyable experience.
