Beech Tree Lodge offers the perfect base for 2 or more families or groups for all your winter playground needs. From skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, golf, hiking, fishing, cafes, boutiques and gift shops or simply just relaxing in front of the fire with a glass of special something!
Relax in our expansive lounge combining living, dining and entertainer style kitchen, complete with gas fireplace, billiard table, and quality chattels boasting all of the comforts of home.
Modern bathrooms, cozy bedrooms and a master bedroom located on second level looking out to Mt Ruapehu, with en-suite.
Loads of room for the children to romp outside and kick a rugby ball, in the landscaped garden with ponds, the Makaranui stream flowing through and a native bush walk.
Smoking allowed outside.
.All rubbish generated during your stay must be removed completely from Beech tree.
If rubbish is required to be removed by Beech Tree Lodge at the completion of the stay, a $50 fee will be deducted from your bond prior to releasing any applicable bond refund

New 14 kw commercial 4 way cassette Heat pump pre set .A couple of heaters for bedrooms in extreme cold weather. Heated towel rails and lamps in bathrooms .Upstairs bedroom heats from the heat pump.Pull the thermal curtains in winter around 5pm for best heat retention .Keep door to laundry area closed off .Air the house once day to remove stale air 15 mins is enough to make hugh difference.

Great family spot

Lovely long weekend stay at this comfortable family home. Pool table and great outdoor areas a hit with the children and well equipt kitchen and new BBQ was a plus. Beautiful local walks and local golf course extremely close by.

A last minute plan change and a fantastic place!

We had intended to do the whanganui river but the river was to high and this was our back up plan. We rafted the tongariro river Saturday afternoon which was excellent! This place was perfect for our group of 10. We all sat at the table for meals, played pool and listened to music. I especially enjoyed the master bedroom and ensuite! The amount of work that has gone into the grounds is staggering. Truly an excellent spot for a getaway. Hosted exceptionally well, great communication and instructions. 10/10 marvellous!! We will be back for sure

Thankyou Helen for staying at Beech Tree lodge .& that you enjoyed your stay with pets .We have never advertised a Hot Tub with the Beech Tree lodge as part of the rental .A long time ago there was one onsite that was non usable as it had a broken pump plus leaked .We had it craned over the house to remove many years ago. The ponds had been weed sprayed the week of your stay .

Home away from home 😊

We had an amazing weekend away with all our children and their partners. We had planned to spend time on the mountain but sadly the snow didn't come to the party. Nevertheless because of the beautiful big home we were able to spend quality time indoors. It was just perfect in every way for our family of 12. We made loads of special memories. Would love to return in Summer and make use of the beautiful gardens and stream. Thanks Linda

Peaceful stay

We found the area lovely, very quiet and the weather was fabulous. The accommodation was well distributed with a big kitchen, living room and great bathroom facilities. Only a few negatives: we found the trampoline, BBQ and generally outside areas needed a good clean. Likewise, the bedrooms and living areas, while tidy, could probably do with a bit more of a deep clean as we found there were a lot of cobwebs and things (including socks, hair ties and fake eyelashes) in and under furniture and around beds. The other thing is that the upstairs, although a beautiful space, was too hot and made it difficult to sleep. A clothesline for hanging washing might be a great addition. Overall though, a great place to stay with great spaces for big groups and everything you need for cooking. Thanks for letting us stay :)

Managers Retreat

Although I did not get a chance to stay on this trip as it was booked for a managers retreat this space worked great, plenty of room for everyone. The only feedback I got was the lack of heating for a place with such beautiful big windows. Otherwise thank you for being so accommodating with check in etc. You made it all a very easy process.
