Summary:

Blast to the Past with the whole family at this cosy Kiwi Classic! 2 mins walk to the stunning Matapouri Bay, space to park the boat, and pet friendly too.



The Space:

This classic kiwi bach offers open plan living with 3 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 7. This charming bach has kitchen facilities and games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained in the evenings. Cook a feast on the BBQ and lounge on the outdoor furniture in the private, sunny garden. This is a great place to bring your children and the family dog (pet fees apply).



With the local Store, where you can enjoy refreshments and a yummy ice-cream and coffee, within a minutes’ walk away, Kiwi Classic is perfectly located for you to enjoy the best the Tutukaka Coast has to offer.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the home and outdoor area.



The Neighborhood:

Matapouri is a Village atmosphere, in the summer you walk to the beach for a swim, walk to the shops for an icecream and get mum more milk and then walk home, to grab a bite to eat and walk back to the beach.



Other Things to Note:

A pet fee of $55.00 per pet is payable and is non refundable.

Please be honest and advise of your intention to bring a pet at the time of booking. Any undisclosed pets could result in guests being asked to leave.



The bed linen configurations are supplied up at our discretion based on the number of people booked.  Double, Queen, King beds will be automatically assigned to 2 adults unless otherwise advised by you at the time of booking.

If you require any additional linen changes during your stay then this will incur extra costs as per our terms and conditions.



Prior to arrival we will email you the Directions and key location for the property you have booked will be provided to you within 7 days prior to your arrival.

We loved our time at this Bach. It is close to the beach and feels quite private. Everything we needed was there. The only negative was the fact that the outside of the batch and the property needed a little TLC. Some paint on the deck and some lawn/garden maintenance would have made this review a full 10 out of 10! Overall we loved our stay and loved the old school quaintness of this Bach. Good value for money and would love to rent again.

Awesome Bach to stay in - has everything you need you need and even better we can take our beloved pooch with us. Being able to stroll down to the beach is amazing and really love the big back yard for kids and pets to play in. We’ll be back for sure 😃

Daughters Wedding!

We had a lovely stay in this lovely NZ bach. It had everything we needed for out vacation, but was kept in a really kiwi style. We opted for hiring linen and getting it cleaned afterwards, so it made it a very relaxing holiday. Thanku

Traditional kiwi batch

We had a great time. Matapouri is an awesome place. Batch was a bit tight for 6 adults- teenagers, but still enjoyed it. Very close to beach and big garden for doggies to run around.

Watch out for hidden fees

While the house was a simple character kiwi bach as expected and we enjoyed our stay, it was really disappointing when I received a $145 receipt for linen after having paid the advertised price. Be careful of dishonest hidden fees, I was told this fee was “mandatory for health and safety reasons” which obviously makes no sense, and I got no response when I asked for an explanation. Would not use bookabach again.

Old school bach and beautiful spot makes for top family holiday

Our family of four (two small kids inc one baby) stayed here for three nights very happily. The house was very clean and well equipped and we really enjoyed its retro aesthetic - made it feel like a proper 'bach holiday'. Also more spacious than I thought it would be - plenty of room for the four of us. The big backyard was great for the toddler to run around. 5 minute walk to the beach and lovely walk to Whale Bay were highlights too.

Small house, great backyard

Expensive for very basic bach but appreciated that we could take our dog, so I think you pay a premium as not many Bach’s will take pets. Clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a great stay at a beautiful beach.

Comfy and so close to the beach

Well equipped, comfortable with lots of spaces to spread out in. Few minutes to terrific beach, and to super beach store with everything. Lots of flat space to park the toys. We'd love to come back.

A great location a few minutes walk to the beach. The Bach is immaculate and clean with everything you should need. Communication with the property manager Sally was easy and she always got back to us promptly with responses to emails. Would definitely stay again!😀

Great stay to get away with the Family, easy walk to the beach.

It was nice to stay away at our favourite beach for a few days, the booking process was easy to follow (although I missed reading the fine print until after booking), the property is in a great location, clean and tidy, and has all the amenities required to walk right into a 'home setting', just bring yourself and some food. Would be very happy to come back over the summer holidays if available.

Lovely Kiwi bach in a great location. Easy walk to the beach, and to the dairy for ice cream afterwards. The Bach was very clean on our arrival and well equipped, with a big flat section for ball games. We would stay again ??
