About this property

Rural Retreat - Free Fibre Internet & WiFi

Large 1970's Farm House on 10 acres. Kitchen/Dinning modern, rest of house is original including the bathrooms.

We recarpeted about 18 months ago. But please note this is not a modern house. While we love it and it is our weekend home, it is old. If you are looking for a modern place this is not for you.

When submitting a request please provide a bit of information on yourself. Many thanks.

A unique opportunity to rent a rural lifestyle property and enjoy the 'rural lifestyle' for a few days. We have sheep and a small avocado orchard. This is our weekend getaway from Auckland and is very peaceful. Our neighbours have cows and this is rural so occasional there are rural smells.

Very private but close to the beaches and to Whitianga, ideal for two families to share.

Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave.

Linen provided based on the number of people booked for.

Occupants

Please do not exceed the maximum number of occupants stated.
If the number of occupants is exceeded at any point the tenancy will be terminated forthwith without a refund. Having more people to stay than you state and pay for is fraud.

Camping

Camping in tents or caravans is not allowed, without prior written permission. Where permission is granted, guests who are camping will be charged the per person rate that applies at the time of the rental.

Pets

You may bring a pet provided it is clean and under control and you have asked us first. Please remember that we have sheep so a dog must be under control at all times. We will not allow more than two dogs.

On Time Traffic Management

The crew loved the stay, it was perfect as it wasn't far from the job & they didn't want to leave. The rural setting was also great for a good nights sleep. would happily stay again :)

The house is old, however it was not a problem, but the bathroom service was insufficient.In addition, there were lots of bugs on the lower floor, it’s also important to mention that the smell of humidity was high.The best part of the house was the kitchen which is very complete with a variety of utensils. To sum up, the price was VERY high for the poor condition of the house.

We stayed for just 2 nights with our extended family. The house was plenty big enough and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were firm and comfortable. The gardens were huge and beautiful. We spent a few hours chasing around with Nerf guns, with even the youngest, at 3, joining in. The only worry we had was the balconey, which seemed unstable and a bit around the back of the property which had a drop down to the next level. Overall, we had a great time. It was central to where we wanted to be and although some of it was a little dated, the kitchen was lovely and modern. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place to stay.

Lovely Rural retreat

The house was a great size for our family group and it is a lovely setting with rural views. The location was also good with easy access to Hot Water Beach, Hahei and Whitianga. The beds were all comfortable with nice linen.The bathrooms are a little tired, but adequate and the decks could do with some work.Even though the weather wasn't great while we were there we had a good time and would stay here again. Thank you.

End of school adeventure with the boys

Very good place for a large group of us to hang out, decent size front lawn to kick a ball around, large living room and decent sized table. Enough bedrooms and toilets for the whole group. Litchen was a little small but we managed if we cooked in small groups.

Friendly Farm

We enjoyed our stay at the property, picking a variety of fruits to sample, visiting with sheep, enjoying the quiet. The home is certainly older and could use some maintenance (outside deck and a few other areas) but is spacious for a large group. The beds were comfy with clean crisp bedding, the kitchen is very well stocked and the breville coffee maker was definitely a hit. The owner was great to communicate with and answered questions quickly.

Plenty of space with five bedrooms, lounge, dining and sunroom, and a front lawn and garden area. Good kitchen area, oven, expresso machine, amenities, etc, instructions avail for everything. BBQ needed a good clean prior to use, outdoor furniture lacking, some deck areas unavailable and/or required work. Good, easy communication with owner, quick answers to any queries.

Perfect location for a choice of activities

This was a well equipped home within 20 minutes of plenty of attractions. Brilliant for a larger family or two with an exiting farm next door where we were lucky enough to see a calf being born. Quite surroundings. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone with their own transport as it is not within walking distance to any beach or activity. That however was a plus for us. Owner is delightful to deal with.

Great rural/beach escape

The host was really clear with the expectations and we had a wonderful time in his house. The house was perfect for two families with kids. Close enough to Hahei, hot water beach and cathedral cove. Home Away from Home

Too short...much regrets, should've booked longer, as the host, neighbour and areas we visited in one word Truly amazing. The house is huge, every corner had its own unique country feel. An oldie but a goodie

Big 1970s two story house. 2 bedrooms downstairs and 3 upstairs. 1 big living room, dining & kitchen area and a sun room. Outdoor balcony space is a bit limited due to parts of the balcony being closed for repair. Plenty of space for families. Pet friendly. Good communication. Handy central location on main road between Whenukite and Coroglen. 15 min to Hot water beach, Hahei, Cooks Beach and 20min to Whitianga. Comfortable modern beds, good kitchen. Set back from main road. Avocado stall/honesty box system is run from the basement so lots of avocado in season but the occasional car pulls up to visit the stall. Excellent value for money. Well priced versatile location. Look forward to staying again.

Amazing farm stay. Spacious, comfortable, like a home away from home

Our two families stayed for 4 nights and with 11 of us we need somewhere big, spacious, comfortable and has everything we need to look after ourselves. This is not a 5 star properties and the owner has stated so. But if you are looking for that home away from home, this is it. We absolutely loved every minute being here. The kids enjoyed running around in the field and orchard. Hide and seek was a hit with the kids. Kitchen was full if utensils and appliances. Lounge and dining was big to fit both our families and gave rise to lots of bonding time. Communications were spot on and the owners were extremely helpful. We definitely would stay here again and just simple cannot recommend this place enough.

A wonderful memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives

The owners went over and above our expectations to assure that we are comfortable. The house and property is near the of activities we planned to do. The love and attention afforded us by the owners was beyond our expectations. Definitely the experience of our lives. Personally I give them a 10/10 for everything. It was more worth than we paid for.
