This clean, outstanding, get-away-from-it-all home, is built in traditional style and features a large lounge, dining room and kitchen with dining facilities as well as two double bedrooms with antique queen-size beds plus another lovely room with two king single beds in it. The living area opens up to a large deck overlooking the lawn with its surrounding flower beds and Kowhai and Totara trees, frequently visited by Tuis, Bell Birds and Wood Pigeons. Pinehaven is a heaven for morning walkers and cyclists. Children's play grounds are within the reserve only some five minutes walk away. Various restaurants, coffee shops and take-aways, a shopping centre with a great New World supermarket, as well as public transport are all within walking distances. Frequent busses and trains will take you to Wellington within 40 minutes, as well as the Hutt Valley and the wider Wellington Region that provides outstanding facilities for cultural events, museums, dining, the arts as well as for all outside and outdoor sports, including golf, hiking, mountain biking, boating and fishing. The wide sunny beaches of the Kapiti Coast as well as the beautiful Wairarapa with its world-famous vineyards are only 45 minutes driving away.
Special conditions:
Minimum stay two nights. Linen and towels provided. We welcome children, but because of the stream and the dense, bush-clad steep slope behind the house our the property is not really suitable for little ones. Absolutely no smokers or pets. No hen, stag or similar parties. Happy to discuss special rates for longer term stays.
Extras: Cleaning (NZ$80 per stay) and a refundable bond of $200 is required for every booking.
