Otama Oceanview paradise

Oceanfront Otama is a relatively new, elevated 4 bedroom Otama holiday home, situated on a beachfront reserve section with great views of the sea and Coromandel Peninsula!

This Otama holiday home is just a short stroll across the reserve to a gorgeous north facing, white sand beach, 2km long with hardly a soul on it... Lined with large Pohutukawa trees, Otama beach offers excellent diving, fishing, and kayaking. There is a nice safe lagoon (ever changing) for the kids. Otama is also a breeding area for the endangered New Zealand Dotterel, and Bell birds can be viewed on the deck! Dolphins often visit the beach too.

This Otama accommodation has 4 bedrooms. One King, one Queen and 2 bunk rooms with generous king single beds (3 king singles in each). All bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the lower level. The main bathroom has a modern shower, toilet and hand basin. There is another separate toilet with hand basin and an outside shower as well - perfect for rinsing off after days spent in the surf and sand. All floors are stained plywood or lino for easy care.

The living, dining and kitchen area, as well as the decks, are on the upper level. This Otama accommodation has a kitchen with stainless bench and dishwasher for absolute convenience. There are decks on 2 sides of this home, elevated to capture fantastic views. Double glazing throughout makes the house warm and cosy, and there is a pot belly for those winter nights. There is a smart TV. Internet is Farmside 4G wireless, unlimited, the signal is pretty good. Otherwise, enjoy the bach for reading, board games and socialising! Outdoor Weber BBQ provided.

The section is generous and fenced.. There are great walks and tracks for biking nearby. The Famous Luke's Kitchen in Kuaotunu offers fabulous coffee, Pizza and more ...sometimes live bands too. Whitianga and Matarangi are a 20 min drive away and offer golf courses and restaurants

Great location in a well designed holiday home

A lovely house with gorgeous views over the bay - well-designed with plenty of comfortable living space for a group. The owner was also very flexible and understanding when we needed to postpone our visit due to the extreme weather in February.

Beautiful spot

This was an excellent spacious place to stay. The view was incredible, and the vibe around was very peaceful. I would be careful about how muddy the lawn can get after rain though

Great stay in a perfect spot

We had a lovely stay at this well appointed bach and would highly recommend. Ideal for families with the 2 bunkrooms sleeping 6 kids! Meals on the deck with those fantastic views made it feel like we had really gotten away from it all. Elizabeth was a very responsive, kind host which made communication super easy. Hope to be back again in the very near future!

Beech paradise

Wonderful quiet, peaceful place with modern and well appointed house. The long beach next to house is amazing to say the least, with Pohutukawas for shade and good swimming. Will be back.

Otama getaway!

Great Bach, roomy, kitchen has everything you need. 2 decks which a great to shelter from sun or wind. Short walk over reserve to stunning under populated pohutukawa lined beach. Amazing views and sunsets . Prompt communication with owner.

Connecting to nature

Beautiful place to connect with nature. Spacious bach with everything you need and great views of the ocean. No need for a TV as you can just watch outside through the window and play cards. Kids loved the swing and swimming everyday, take some board games to fill in time. Great Bach.

Das Ferienhaus war gut ausgestattet, einschl der Betten. Der Ort ist schön, aber sehr einsam. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, aber eine sehr nette Nachbarin ... einen Stern abzug, weil es nicht ganz so sauber war.

Beautiful beach - has to be one of the best around and a spacious house well located.

Loved our stay at Otama Beach. It really is a gorgeous beach. House was spacious with plenty of room both inside and outside. Especially loved the outside hot shower after a swim. A couple of small niggles. The king and Queen beds are the old "slat" style - not the most comfortable. One moves - all moves. The wine glasses were a real mixture and half a dozen good sized glasses would have been appreciated. Same with the cutlery which was a bit of a mixture and some smaller sized plates would be good. These issues aside, we all had a great time and will no doubt be back in the future.

Generous space with well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room for 3 couples. Nice owners who were easy to communicate with. Close to beach. One major drawback that could easily be remedied by the owners is the appalling quality of the bedding. Microfiber and synthetic sheets on most of the beds. Plastic topping with no under blanket on some of the beds and synthetic under blanket for the double and queen beds. Poor quality mattress for double bed.
