Perched on the mountain’s edge overlooking Hinze Dam and a seemingly endless view of native emerald bushland, this picturesque cabin offers an expansive entertainer's deck with a BBQ, while inside a fireplace keeps you nice and cosy. There are plenty of parks, reserves and walks nearby, while the local General Store and cafe are just a 10-minute stroll from home. If you’d like to get a taste of the Gold Coast’s sun-soaked beaches, you’re just over a 30-minute drive from Surfers Paradise. A relaxing and ultra-romantic oasis awaits in this two-bedroom cabin perched on the edge of a mountain with expansive views of surrounding nature. Enjoy a stay that has you feeling good about your environmental footprint, with the use of rainwater tanks for water and a fireplace burning natural wood fire for warmth.
Spend your mornings in the well-lit, open-plan living area, relaxing on the comfortable sofas that frame the indoor fireplace and face the flat-screen TV with a sound system. When the weather warms up, step out of the sliding glass doors in the living room and onto an expansive outdoor deck that features a BBQ and alfresco dining table set against a backdrop of emerald treetops.
Alongside the living area, you’ll find a stunning timber dining table for six and a spacious fully-equipped kitchen with a noven and electric stove, dishwasher, and all the essential cooking utensils and pantry supplies, including a Nespresso machine and a French press. Cook up a storm in here or use the outdoor BBQ.
When it’s time to call it a day, take your pick of one of two rooms. A master bedroom is bright and features a queen bed as well as access to the oversized outdoor deck; while a second bedroom also has a queen bed and features chic, timber bedside tables and built-in wardrobes. An additional small study is ideal for those who need to work remotely and features a desk and an office chair facing the outdoor deck and the luscious mountains beyond.
A pristine bathroom has a bathtub, separate shower and a vanity with a mirrored backsplash; while additions include Wi-Fi, air conditioning and ceiling fans, as well as books and other reading material available for your use.
Firewood is not supplied. Please bring your own firewood, firelighters, and matches. During your stay, you and your group will have the entire cabin to yourself. Please make yourself at home!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The profile for this listing says all the right things there’s a fine line between being factually correct and making stuff up. On the positive side, the location and setting are great and yes there are vistas of the distant mountains. You can only see a slither of the Hinze Dam as it is almost totally blocked off by the surrounding trees.Three areas aren’t quite as described in the property profile:-The Kitchen. The listing states there is a gas cooktop, however it’s a rusty four burner hot plate. The areas beyond the floors / countertops could do with a good clean (aka cobwebs above the fridge etc).- Yes it's clean & tidy but it's not as “pristine” as described in the listing. - The bath has a repair to its surface, the vanity is stained, and the vanity taps have lost most of its black finish.- The opening plan living area is described as “well lit”. Unfortunately, the ceiling lighting is poor consisting of a “white light” that is part of a ceiling fan that barely lights up the respective areas. We reached out Hometime Host because some of the information they sent us was incorrect. The most critical was that the amenities list includes laundry facilities and a dryer. We spent much of our time hiking and running so the use of a washing machine for the five days we were booked in was something that we expected to be provided and it wasn't. Hometime are woeful administrators of the property; inaccurate listing details and very difficult to deal with.
