Rooms were spacious and clean. Scenery was excellent! Kitchen well stocked. We loved watching the turkeys come along the ridge top in the morning, we hope to come back again!
Kathy was a fantastic host, and very helpful with the unfortunate weather during our stay. We will book again next time we are in the area - thank you again Kathy!
“If you love beautiful views, peace and quiet, this place is perfect—especially if you don’t mind a short drive into town. The cottage was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was a relaxing and comfortable stay, and we would definitely stay here again!” Thank you Kathy
Best views ever if you want to leave the city scene way behind and get a vision of tranquility and NZ landscape for a far as the eye can see then this place ticks the boxes for a very resonable price. The hidden bridge near marakopa is a must magical and easy access. Leave the phone off and reconnect with real life at Owhiro. Thanks Kathy.
This was an amazing stay! The home was very clean and well equipped. AMAZING million dollar views across the whole harbour. Kathy was a fantansic host, very responsive and communicative. Very peaceful spot. The only reason we have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because the driveway was quite steep and some vehicles (i.e. 2WD or lower vehicles) might struggle. It could be useful to make a note of that in the listing. Overall it was a fantastic stay!
The views were unbeatable. Even the views inland to farmland were lovely. The loose stones on the very steep drive were scary in our little 2 wheel drive but we made it OK. They are looking at improving it. The house sleeps 6 and there was plenty of room for 6 at the dining table and in the lounge. The two toilets, 2 showers and a bath would make it easy to get a large group out the door. The kitchen was well provided - even binoculars to use from the deck. The hosts were amazing. So quick to answer; texted after arrival to see if we were OK and gave us a tour of the farm in their utility vehicle. There are no shops nearby so you must take all your supplies with you then sit back and watch the tide going in and out, the light changing throughout the day, the little boats and fishermen on the bridge below.
