Cozy Private Apartment with "Country Lane" Elegance in the Heart of Everything

This beautiful, airy, designer home includes a charming 2 bedroom basement apartment that can sleep 11 (or more), located in Southeast Orem on a little-known tree-lined road near the Provo Riverbottoms.

A stay here is like living along a "country lane" while still being close to all the city shopping, restaurants, activities and convenience. We enjoy a great, quiet neighborhood, just east of the University Place Mall but down the hill closer to the Provo River. We're situated very close to both BYU and UVU. We have great views of Mount Timpanogos, and are 45 minutes from Salt Lake City and 20 minutes from Sundance Ski Resort.

The house is a stylish remodel of a 60's split level that was featured in the 2009 Parade of Homes, completed by a sought-after, award-winning architectural designer.

This basement apartment is full of daylight and has a large utility room with kitchenette and laundry. Included appliances are a fridge/freezer, micro-convection oven, coffeemaker, Instapot, toaster and washer/ dryer. Seating for 6 combine at the nook table and the butcher block island bar. An additional folding table for 4 and extra chairs are also available in the under-stairs storage. The utility room has fun connecting puppet theatre windows to a cozy family room with mud room access to a fully-fenced backyard, allowing space for kids to play or an “al fresco” dinner on the patio.

Also downstairs are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom with a tub/shower. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen memory-foam bed, and work desk. Across the hall is a bunk room that can sleep up to 6 -- 2 twin upper bunks and 2 full bed lower bunks -- all high-quality memory foam as well. An additional queen-sized airbed can be used in the family-room to create, with the sofa, 3 more sleeping accommodations.

There are large elegant arches and unique built-ins throughout, making for a comfortable home that is soothing and visually-appealing. The entire apartment is available for your exclusive use. The home's designer lives upstairs in a separate unit. The owner lives off site, but can be available to help with any information or needs as desired. Self Check-in/Check-out with door code allows you to enjoy your privacy and a wonderful, cozy stay at your convenience.

Jessica was by far the most conscientious and gracious of hostesses for any rental unit we've ever used--and we've used probably a dozen over the past several years. The place was immaculate, and met the needs of our large family. Jessica was able to greet us personally, and was super nice the entire time. She even put up with our noisy three-year old. Check-in was a breeze. No problems with the unit or our stay. Great location, good price, lovely views from the yard. As a budding woodworker, I also geeked out over the built-in bunk bed in the side bedroom; I want to build one just like it at my place, now! We'll definitely keep Jessica and her place in mind if we have future short-stay-rental needs in the Orem area!

Great, fun space

We had a marvelous time. Our hostess was wonderfully accommodating. The space was very clean, well stocked with water and popcorn. We had a marvelous time. The backyard was great and the neighbors were nice to allow my grandson to retrieve his toy that went over the fence. The area is really nice and quiet. We had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking at this property. It is close to any shopping and dining needed.

Great place for a large family

I very much appreciated every aspect of this stay. From pre-arrival instructions to locating the property and communication with our hostess, as well as the beautiful decorating and super clean rooms. This property is in a very nice neighborhood that is close to so much, yet secluded. It was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to any of my family or friends.

It was the best!

This place was great!! First of all, Jessica was so kind and so easy to contact- always got right back to me when I messaged her! The place was very clean with comfortable beds. My kids loved the bunk room! The games were really fun and we found a new favorite. Also the location was great- easy to get everywhere but the neighborhood was quiet.

Blown away by kindness

Jessica went out of her way to welcome us. My family of six was a VERY last minute reservation after the hotel we planned on failed to log the reservation made weeks before and then asked for higher rates. In the 11th hour (after midnight her time), Jessica received and approved our request to stay. Not only that, but she volunteered and arranged to pick us up at the Amtrak train station and dealt with their delays and 5 am expected arrivals with grace and patience. I have never been greeted so warmly by a stranger in my life and I hope to remain friends. The living space is artfully decorated and incredibly comfortable. My kids LOVED the bunk beds, and my husband and I slept comfortably on the firm tempur-pedic mattress. The kitchenette was spacious and well accommodated with supplies and pantry items. Having access to launder our cloths was amazing!!! Location is within a mile of everything we needed, and there is a spacious well tended back yard to share with Jessica. If you’re lucky you may just both step out for some fresh air at the same time and have a lovely conversation with each other. She has great travel stories and I found her to be extremely relatable. I hope you enjoy your trip as much as us! Safe travels!

Perfect Place

Due to my early morning online work schedule and my daughters summer camp during the day, we needed a place that had space. This place has more than we envisioned. This adorable apartment definitely is spacious, but it is also uber clean. The decor is modern and comfortable. It was close to Provo (10 minutes) where we spent a large part of our time, so the convenience made us extremely happy. Jessica messaged us several times to ensure we had everything we needed. She was perfect!

There was a fold out 3'x6' table, folding chairs, an air mattress, a foam mattress that could be used, great bunk beds, a beautiful wrought iron and glass shelf unit outside that we could use for our shower. Everything was very nice.
