Nestled in the heart of historic Russell, Nana Russell's House has been a beloved gathering spot for family celebrations. Recently renovated, it honours the joy shared of our 100-strong family, offering guests a taste of the laughter, ice creams, beach days and the delicious food we've cherished together.

The home embodies the spirit of NZ bach living - summer cocktails on the deck, good meals and family togetherness. Maori-inspired artwork, thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed, brings a vibrant touch of cultural heritage to the space. Intentionally retro yet refreshed and revived! Neat as a pin just like our Nana.

Kitchen & Dining:
The well-equipped kitchen is complemented by a fun & quirky orange dining banquet for six which provides an ideal setting for shared meals and lively conversations.

Living Area:
Enjoy the sun kissed living room. Throw open the huge bifold doors to the deck to catch a breeze. Never fear. WIFI is here. Kick back, sink into the comfortable new sofa to watch a movie or Freeview on the Smart TV. Chromecast enabled. BYO Netflix.

3 Bedrooms:
The three thoughtfully appointed bedrooms, featuring nostalgic touches, new beds and linen, provide a restful escape for up to six guests. Recently upgraded electrical USB ports and lighting provide convenience and a restful warm glow.

Bathrooms & Laundry:
One modern bathroom services the home. Please note there is no laundry on site. Plenty of clothesline space and a laundromat in town.


Garden & Deck:
Step outside to enjoy breakfast and a morning coffee or an evening sundowner looking over the private garden with elevated views down to the water.

Location and Fun Things to Do:
So close yet so quiet. Set in an elevated position above Russell Township, you are located a 1 minute drive or a 5 minute walk down the Zig Zag Track to Russell's charming waterfront. You will find yourself surrounded by historic streets, museums, pubs, a woodfired pizzeria and fresh seafood restaurants. Walk to Long Beach's sun-kissed sands for a swim, or head to the nearby wharf to catch a ferry to Paihia or explore a range of day trips to explore nearby islands, cultural experiences and water activities. The Bay of Islands' beauty and adventure are right at your doorstep, making this the perfect base for an unforgettable escape.
