Nice but dated

The house is in a good location. The issue is that it is very dated. There are no modern amenities and it really needs updated.

Garbage situation not resolved.Onky small garbage can under the sink. No can outside or garage to but a large bag in. It's summer, corn watermelon and 10 people. No gua d rail on upper bunk.Otherwise adequate cooking utensils, good lay out. Very dusty, needs some mulch. Lots of nice activities close.

Property offered adequate space and amenities, probably on par with the price, however there were a few things I think could be upgraded - providing more garbage bags and higher quality toilet paper would be a nice touch. The exterior stairs are in disrepair and the driveway is difficult to navigate with the trees, while beautiful, being so tight on both sides as well as winding which we realize that aspect is unavoidable. Cleaning crew was prompt upon departure, however blocked our ability to get out as they were parked too close and seemed a bit inpatient.

Worst Black Butte Stay

The description of the property was completely misleading. The front and back porches had peeling paint and warped wood. The front steps were just plain unsafe - steep, uneven, and warped. The overall exterior of the cabin was rundown. The deck furniture was filthy and stacked in a pile off of the deck. The interior was somewhat expected of a dated BB cabin but relatively clean except for the blood-stained mattress pad in the main bedroom. Completely disgusting and something Meredith Lodging should have noticed and reported. The toilet seat in the main bathroom was also broken. I reported most of this immediately to Meredith Lodging but received little more than "we are sorry and will report it to the owner." Once we checked out and I reiterated the unacceptable nature of this rental, I was told that they would look into it but it has now been almost a month and nothing. Very shoddy operation.
