This 18th century family home, in the centre of the old town, allows you to forget about the car! Beach, market, port and amenities: everything is within walking distance!
The house, located in the heart of the citadel's ramparts, has undergone a complete and careful renovation in 2021. The beach of La Phibie is a 600-metre walk away, the market and shops less than a minute away.

For ideal comfort for your holidays, each of the 3 bedrooms is equipped with a large 160 cm bed with new bedding and has its own bathroom.

The house, with a surface area of 120m2 on 2 levels, is arranged as follows:
On the ground floor a large open space of 64 m2 which is accessed by an entrance forming an airlock. The crossing space benefits from a great deal of light thanks to its bay window opening onto the south façade (street side) and another on the garden side. The dining area has a table that can accommodate 6 people. The living room is equipped with Chesterfield-style leather sofa and seats as well as club chairs to comfortably accommodate 6 people.
The open kitchen with an island is equipped (oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer / Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, toaster...) and gives direct access to the terrace and the garden. The terrace has a round table, 6 chairs and a parasol.

1 bedroom of 16 m2 with shower room, exposed stone wall, 18th century fireplace and French window opening onto the garden.

Upstairs: a landing with WC. 2 bright bedrooms of 16.5 m2 and 13.5 m2, each with their own shower room.

Garden: an enclosed garden of about 100m2, surrounded by stone walls. Quiet with 2 deckchairs, 2 deck chairs, 2 wooden armchairs / 1 gas barbecue, grill and plancha.

The house is equipped with Internet (Orange live box) + board games, card games, library + television.

Electric heating in winter.

Linen is provided in the rental: mattress protectors, duvets, sheets and duvet covers, pillow protectors, shower towels (not beach towels).

We thank you for keeping our house in a good state of cleanliness.

For reasons of hygiene and risk of allergy, our animal friends are not allowed. For the same reasons and out of respect for non-smoking tenants, it is requested not to smoke inside the house.

Parking: free parking 250 metres from the house.

Bike rental possible 100 metres from the house. Bicycle parking has been installed by the town hall on all the edges of the ramparts of the citadel (100 metres from the house). No bicycles must be entered inside the property.

Price: rental for a maximum of 6 people per week from Saturday to Saturday all year round. For shorter stays, outside the summer period, consult the owners. In the case of a stay of less than 4 nights with the agreement of the owners, a pressing fee of 60€ will be requested for the complete set of household linen.

House not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The market, 1 minute from the house, is daily and very lively. In summer, two night markets are organised in the city centre and on the port. The Château d'Oléron is a town located at the entrance to the Ile d'Oléron with a lot of charm. You can discover its oyster port, stroll through the craft huts, visit the Vauban citadel, enjoy the many restaurants and oyster and mussel tastings. This privileged location will allow you to discover the Ile d'Oléron but also the coast: Marennes (oyster capital of the world), the Citadel of Brouage, the Fouras peninsula, the Ile d'Aix and Fort Boyard, La Palmyre with its zoo and golf course...
