This was a great location-quiet and serene. The accommodation was clean and the covered porch with outdoor seating & eating space with a barbecue was a great bonus. The host was very attentive, including a welcome note, drink & a chocolate. The kitchen is equipped with everything. Peaceful spot!
Judith and her family were great hosts. The space was clean and inviting and we were able to use the paddle boards provided. Great location near beautiful beaches as well.
A beautifully maintained suite that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked for any who want to cook in suite. The bed was comfortable and we loved the rain shower. We would definitely stay again.
Beautiful suite, has everything you need! appreciated the amenities provided for our dog, which is rare in vacation rentals. Very friendly interactions with host and family, but also very private. Exactly what we were looking for!
Our stay was fabulous. The hosts have thought of everything guests might need. The unit is very clean, comfortable, and cozy. The suite is suitable for single guests, couples, or a small family. The setting is peaceful and relaxing … very quiet and lovely.
Place was as advertised. Really enjoyed the large covered deck. Parking is on a hill to the side of the driveway and is a little tricky to maneuver.

It was a great pleasure to host you and your husband.
Be careful to book! Even already charge cleaning fee while booking, but the host force us to pay large amount of damage fee as extra cleaning fee, saying that the floor is dirty or smell reason.

I was genuinely shocked to find our suite left in such a disrespectful state. This is the first time I've had to request a damage fee, but the condition it was left in, a significant mess and a strong, unpleasant odor, made it unavoidable. We had to spend many extra hours cleaning, and due to the lingering smell, we couldn’t rent the suite for several days.
This property offers a secluded, relaxing place to unwind. The room replicates its surrounding environment—a place to kick back and chill. My Caveat: There are a significant number of stairs to access your room. Minimize the luggage and accessories you have to take up. Parking is on an incline. It would be nice if the parking space were level. Overall, I would recommend it if you're looking for a place to relieve the Hurley Burley of life as it is today. Enjoy your stay.
Avons passé un excellent week-end sur l'île. Judith est une hôte exceptionnelle et attentionnée. Le logement est super bien équipé, propre et bien placé. Je recommande chaleureusement. Thanks Judith!

Why they chose this property
Bowen Island, a serene gem just a short ferry ride from Vancouver, offers an idyllic combination of natural beauty and a close-knit community that makes it an exceptional place to call home. Nestled amidst lush forests and surrounded by the sparkling waters of Howe Sound, this charming island is a haven for my family seeking harmony with nature and a sense of belonging.
Living on Bowen Island means embracing the great outdoors every day. The island is crisscrossed by scenic trails that invite us to explore towering cedar and fir forests, pristine beaches, and breathtaking viewpoints. Whether it's hiking up Mount Gardner for panoramic vistas, kayaking through calm coastal waters, or enjoying a tranquil moment by the shoreline, Bowen Island offers countless opportunities to connect with the natural world. Its rich biodiversity also provides a front-row seat to the wonders of wildlife, from eagles soaring overhead to playful seals in the harbor.
But Bowen Island isn't just about stunning landscapes—it's also about the people who call it home. The island's community is warm, welcoming, and deeply engaged. Our community takes pride in our vibrant local culture, which thrives through farmers' markets, art festivals, and community events that bring people together. It's a place where neighbours know one another, children grow up with a sense of safety, and everyone contributes to preserving the island's unique character. The spirit of collaboration and support is evident in initiatives to protect the environment, promote sustainability, and foster local businesses.
In essence, Bowen Island is more than a place—it's a way of life. Its natural splendor and the strong sense of community create an environment where we as residents can thrive, find inspiration, and build lasting connections.
