About this property
The Foreman's Cabin on amazing location
We're proud to offer our latest addition: The Foreman's Cabin! This Cabin is beautifully situated on the edge of our vast ravine and a short walk to the North Saskatchewan River. The property boasts 1 1/2 miles of river frontage occupied by deer, moose and beavers! You may get a photo opp of these inhabitants as you traverse our multitude of groomed trails. There are corrals with water bowls and a large native prairie pasture out your window to accommodate your horses to holiday with you!
The cabin consists of two queen bedrooms, a large open area with kitchen and dining room-showcasing our spectacular landscape as you experience scenic views from our large picture windows....enjoy panoramic views of the sky, landscape and fantastic sunsets, overlooking the river. Right after the sun goes down, is when the real fun begins - light the wood-burning fireplace for heat and nostalgia, a must have for your rustic experience! You'll never run out of wood, we also have a modern furnace - should you really need cozy & warm.
For comfort, enjoy the soft leather sofa and a hide-a-bed, rock away in the lazy-boy. All modern amenities in the ranch style & well appointed kitchen. Shower, toilet and yes - running hot water.
Think family gatherings, men's / ladies retreat, church events - also excellent for hunters in season (with a very knowledgeable local guide that knows the best spots)
In closing we are thrilled to have re-claimed salvaged trims, doors & windows etc. to offer an experience from a by-gone-era that makes it ooze character and brilliance.
The Cowboy Saloon with an indoor open firepit and vintage stage are right next door for an additional charge. Come visit and experience adventure and mystique in the Foreman's Cabin.

It was a wonderful, clean, beautiful and quiet place to stay! The wood burning stove is what drew us and it did not disappoint! Jarvis was quick to respond when we had any questions. Would definitely go back!
Jarvis is an incredible host and his love and passion for the blue skies ranch shows. Beautiful trails and views. Perfect for a relaxing get away as well. The fire place was amazing. Can’t wait to return! Would be amazing venue for events, retreats, weddings and more!
The property was clean and had everything we needed. It's front windows look out over the North Saskatchewan River valley, and sunsets and sunrises are amazing. If you're coming from the south, and it's been wet, take HWY 12 up to the Hepburn turnoff and then take the grids from there, rather than coming up NW on the 16 and using the grids to come north. It takes a bit longer, but it's worth it.
We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return. The hospitality of the host was exceptional. Forman’s cabin was perfect for our getaway; clean, warm, and with all amenities we needed. We snowshoed the trails and had a big fire in the Saloon for hotdog roast with the grandkids, who stopped by for a visit. Thank you so much Jarvis, we will connect again soon.
If you want peaceful, comfortable with the most beautiful sunsets you could hope for… This is the place for you. From check in to check out, Jarvis was a joy to work with and extremely helpful. He even started the fire in the fireplace when we showed up and had a Christmas tree waiting to help celebrate the Christmas holidays. Thank you so much for everything Jarvis! You’re the best!
Cozy cabin with beautiful heritage details (glass door knobs, stained glass, etc.) that was the perfect escape from the city. Jarvis had the fire going when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. The views from the property are spectacular through the large windows facing the river. We saw many deer, sunsets, birds, native prairie landscape. So peaceful. New appliances (dishwasher too!) were handy to cook with and the oven has an air fryer setting. Kitchen is well equipped (with a crock pot even). Bring your own ice cube trays to make ice for drinks. The trails around the property are lovely and our dog had a wonderful time exploring. The cabin was spotless and even the linens had that freshly washed ‘Tide’ smell. A gem of a place that we will be back to visit again. The only things that could be listed as potential cons for the place are the sound of the water pump in one of the bedrooms. It was very loud (especially if you flushed the toilet in the middle of the night) but the hot water and good pressure made up for it. Also, wifi could be spotty because of the satellite and weather but we didn’t mind as we were going there to unplug and sit by the fire anyway.
