Went to Wake Forest football game. Enjoyed the university community and the area. Home was about 12-13 minutes from the stadium. Nice home. Only wish was that it had cable tv instead of needing your own apps. Comfortable beds.

The house was beautiful in a nice new neighborhood. It was clean and well decorated, felt very safe with house alarm option. The kitchen and living space were great for our group of 8-10 over the weekend. Huge pantry to store all our supplies. Beds were comfortable and there were enough towels, linens, etc.

Trash Experience Ruined it

This is a new home and everything was very comfortable. It was expensive, but very nice until the last day. The checkout instructions are not clearly stated, but once you make your reservation, you are then told that you have to take your trash to a trash facility that is 5 miles away from the house OR pay a penalty. There is city trash pick up on the street- people who live in that neighborhood have trash bins-but I guess this house didn’t want to pay for that service.We were there for the weekend with a Sunday check out so we loaded up the trash in my back seat and the trash facility was closed. Upon telling this to the cleaning service, she told me that if I brought it back to the house, the owner would definitely charge me. I asked for the owner‘s information and was never given it. What are we supposed to do if you are a Sunday check out? Just seems really misleading and shady to know that the facility is closed on Sunday and not share that information or give the renters an option for their trash. We drove home with stinky trash in our car.There are plenty of nice places to stay in this area, spend the same money, stay somewhere else and don’t be left with an experience that ruins your trip!

From the Owner: "The garbage disposal process was clearly communicated to all guests before booking and again when they contacted the property manager for check-in details. That said, we’ve since taken steps to improve the experience; our property manager now offers an alternative solution for guests checking out on Sundays who are unable to dispose of their trash themselves. As a new short-term rental owner, I was under the impression that having guests manage their garbage disposal was an acceptable practice. If this was not in line with guest expectations or best practices, I would have appreciated clearer guidance earlier on. While I value all feedback, I believe the 1-star rating is not a fair reflection of the effort we put into maintaining a quality stay, especially given the proactive communication and recent improvements. "
