Lawrencetown chalet

Beautiful location and views of the ocean. We loved hearing the waves and seeing all the wildlife. Very peaceful, secluded and quiet, yet only 15 minutes away from Cole Harbour with groceries and restaurants. The house itself is very charming and deceptively spacious. The sauna and hot tub were a special treat. Shea was an awesome host - very responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

We booked this property to attend a family wedding at another nearby rental property. The location was perfect and we had plenty of room for our group. The front bedroom wasn’t ideal with such a big group and having people waking and going to sleep at various times and the bunk area is very tight but everything else was amazing. We made great use of the sauna and hot tub as well. Thanks so much for the use of your wonderful space.

My brothers and our families stayed here after a family memorial. It was the perfect spot to be together and reflect and relax for a week, since we live far apart. We enjoyed paddle boarding on the quiet bay, swimming in the ocean, hiking on the local nature trails, and relaxing in the wood fired sauna and hot tub. The house and facilities were more than adequate for our large group of 10 adults. Our host was responsive and helpful. Whenever I contacted her she cared more about our enjoyment more than she did about rules and regulations. A couple of comments to help future renters choose and manage expectations: The beach in front of the home is beautiful and accessible by a raft that you pull across a narrow bay. You can wander the beach and watch the seals. We swam in the ocean here but it might not be ideal for kids to swim because you need to cross shallow waters with slippery rocks to get out far enough to swim. There are many kid family beaches nearby. If you have paddle boards or a kayak the bays and marshes are protected and lovely to explore and nature watch. The nearby hiking trail is spectacular. Be very careful on the cliffs if you have kids because they are actively eroding and there are no fences!!!! Also, watch your kids (and your fingers) if you use the wood fired sauna. Enjoy!
