Escape to a Hygge cabin in Bracebridge Muskoka, nestled in the Hemlock, Maple (the land of liquid gold), Cedar, Yew woods, inspired by the Hygge ' cozy feeling ' concept from Denmark. The owner has a background training in Architecture and world travels and wanted to give his guests a 'forest bathing experience ' whilst being inside a wildlife gem amongst many in Muskoka. The Den, formerly a farmstead, has been renovated to Muskoka style 'Hampton - inspired ' aluminum board batt, bare wood shiplap, and cathedral ceilings, for an open-concept feel and Getaway. The owner, a hobby ' beekeeper ' wildlife lover says the 'Bear' is a good omen, and reminds his guests that You are amongst wildlife, and will have a chance to observe nature from our cozy cabin, if you're lucky.
The retreat features a loft with a king bed (sleeps 2) and a ground-floor sleeping area with a double/single bunk bed (sleeps 3). Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, board games, free WiFi, a smart TV, and ample parking. Just minutes from the Big 3 lakes i.e. Muskoka, Joseph, Rosseau surrounded by Gravenhurst, Bala, Bracebridge, Port Carling and nearby Dysart 'Lake of Bays ' as well as small gems such as; Wood lake, Prospect lake and beach etc. Matthiasville is a nearby attraction for a scenic walk or bicycle trip along the Muskoka river where there is also good fishing. Other trails, and outdoor activities include —snowshoeing in winter, paddle boarding, boating/atv'ing, granite and all level MTB trails at nearby MNR MORCA trails in summer—it's the perfect getaway for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who like to move the body
