The house was lovely, beds were comfortable and all amenities worked well as advertised. the pool table was very cool. however the bbq and dishes and cutlery were quite dirty in the cupboards. the barn door was very cute and the jet bath tub was lovely. the location was amazing
Property was good value for money. My teens really enjoyed the pool table and air hockey - was so good seeing them off their devices and have some "old school" fun! Property had everything we needed to get our stay started. Would return in the future without hesitation.
Loved the old style of the home. Only 2 complaints!1. Would be great to have a fridge upstairs.2. The only inside toilet was in the ensuite and you had to go through the main bedroom while people were sleeping.Otherwise I would definitely recommend this property

This house has character. Almost has a castle theme with the large bricks, wood, archways and medieval door furniture/handles. We had a great time as two families hanging out and spending a winter week together. The house was great for that.Pros: Clean, everything worked, comfortable beds and hot water. Great smart TV and lounge area. Wifi was great. Hosts responded promptly to issues. Cons: Heating is cheap electric fan heaters that did not work effectively. We were warned not to use too much electricity, but were provided with the most expensive heaters to run. The meter/fuse box continually tripped because of the heaters. The annexe bedrooms could only have one heater working; otherwise, the fuse would trip, and if you didn't notice, there would be no hot water for the annexe bathroom. No bathroom upstairs, so need to use the master bedroom ensuite which was not great when they were sleeping. Master bedroom occupants basically have no privacy. Both showers are tiny.Door handles were rather loud and cumbersome. Outside bins were not emptied. If staying in the annexe bedrooms, you need to go out the kitchen door into the backyard to get to the bedrooms, which is no problem unless raining.Only people with long arms can use the oven. Rather highAlthough the place had its quirks, we had a great time. If going in summer, be warned, there is only air con upstairs, and you are requested not to use it all the time. Annexe bedrooms only have ceiling fans.
