This conveniently located cottage is the perfect base for a stylish stay in Hobart. One of the original homes in Hobart City the owner has lovingly restored the home as well as adding both style and function. From its designer kitchen to the serene courtyard garden, this light-filled home is made for slow mornings, long lunches, and cosy evenings in. The home offers a dedicated parking space on the property, along with additional off-street parking. It’s situated in a quiet location, just a short walk from Woolworths.

Welcome to your King St Cottage – where contemporary design meets relaxed living. Set behind a charming cottage exterior, this home opens into a warm, light-filled space where natural textures meet curated modern finishes. The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas flow into a private courtyard deck surrounded by greenery – the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or dinner under the stars in summer.

Inside, you’ll find every detail thoughtfully considered – from the sleek designer kitchen and integrated appliances to the statement bathroom with its rain shower and luxe brass fittings. The laundry is fully equipped for longer stays, and the ambient interiors make this space feel both inspiring and restorative.

Please note this is our owners personal home. He travels often and offering his home for guest use. The owner has locked off one side of the home for with his personal belongings. We are grateful for your respect and care.

Guests can access the home at any time after 3PM via a secure lockbox.

Whether you're here to explore or simply slow down, the lifestyle here is all about ease and everyday joy.

Getting Around:
A car is handy if you’d like to explore further afield, but much of what you’ll need is within walking or cycling distance. Public transport options are nearby, offering convenient connections to the city and beyond. Rideshare services and bike hire are also widely available, making it easy to get around.

Other things to note:
- A $50 fee will be charged if guests fail to check out by the agreed time, with an additional charge for every 15 minutes thereafter.

There are functioning outdoor security cameras located at the back of the house and at the front corners for your safety and the security of the property. These monitor external areas only and are not placed in any private or indoor spaces.



Inside the side compartment of the drinks trolley (next to the kitchen wall), you'll find:

Instruction manuals for all appliances.

A selection of takeaway menus for nearby restaurants.



A bin guide is posted inside the kitchen cupboard door, detailing which bins go out every second Monday night (alternating weeks).



The Breville Oracle coffee machine shown in the photos is no longer available, as it was damaged. In its place, we’ve provided a stainless steel coffee plunger and instant coffee, so you can still enjoy a fresh brew during your stay.

A lovely lovely place to stay and have all your yourself. Easy to walk from or catch a bus from just around the corner. Lots of little details that helped make the stay even more enjoyable. Does not feel like you are in the city, lovely and quiet and homely. Will be recommending.
