Beautiful location. Please update the listing to include more information about the stairs and that there is no railing. Although “steps to enter” is accurate, there is a big difference between a few steps with a railing to enter a home and 74 steps, no railing. My 82 and 85 year old parents had a difficult time with them and had I known, we may have selected a different location. That being said, we enjoyed the property and there were lots of places to hang out for games and meals.

From the Owner: "Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and for choosing our lake property for your stay. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful location and the spaces for games and meals. We truly appreciate your comments regarding the steps. While our photos and listing description show and mention the stairs, we understand that the experience can feel very different when traveling with older family members, and we’re sorry this presented a challenge for your parents. Your suggestion to provide clearer details in the description is a great one, and we’ll review the listing to make sure it gives guests the best possible understanding of accessibility before booking.Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We hope you made wonderful memories during your stay and would be happy to welcome you back anytime—perhaps to a property that better fits your family’s needs."

It was absolute hike to get to cottage, 75 stair steps to be exact. There wasn't any heat in the basement, which for march made for a long night. They enjoyed the cottage; everything was clean and comfortable and a beautiful setting.

From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback—we’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the cottage, found everything clean and comfortable, and appreciated the beautiful setting. We understand the stairs can feel like a bit of a trek for some guests. We do include photos in the listing to help set expectations, but we appreciate you calling that out, as it can be helpful for future visitors to consider. We’re also sorry to hear the basement felt cold during your stay. We check in with our guests to make sure everything is comfortable and running smoothly, and we’re always happy to address things like this right away if we know—so we wish we had the chance to help while you were there. We truly appreciate your stay and your feedback—it helps us continue to improve the experience for our guests."
