About this property
Forestview - 3 bed, 3 bathroom, Sun-Filled Sunroom
Forestview is a beautifully renovated home with quality fixtures, fittings, and appliances throughout, anchored by its sun-drenched sunroom and a seamless indoor–outdoor connection in every season. Set on a quiet Blackheath street, it feels tucked away yet remains an easy drive to town, local lookouts, and the spectacular walking tracks that descend into the Grose Valley. With level flooring and a single step, the home is comfortable for guests of all ages.
Located on the southern edge of Blackheath, Forestview enjoys a peaceful setting just 3 km from Evans Lookout, the gateway to the iconic Grand Canyon walk, and around 3 km from the heart of town. Blackheath consistently punches above its weight when it comes to food and drink, with a great mix of restaurants and bars, and one of the best pubs in the Mountains.
Recently renovated, Forestview is a welcoming, well-considered home designed for year-round enjoyment. In summer, the large sunroom doors slide open, blurring the line between indoors and the garden beyond, extending the living space and allowing fresh mountain air to flow through. In winter, those same doors invite the low northern sun to stream in for most of the day, warming the space and creating a cosy spot to relax with a coffee or a glass of red. At the front of the house, a separate sitting room with a gas fireplace offers a second snug place to unwind.
You enter the home through a Victorian-inspired entry hall, with the layout neatly divided: bedrooms and bathrooms to the left, living spaces to the right. The hallway runs from front to back, with three queen bedrooms positioned side by side. Each bed is made up with quality linen, pillows, doonas, and blankets. For guests travelling with young children, a fold-out cot and high chair can be provided on request.
The front and middle bedrooms each feature an ensuite with a walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet. The third queen bedroom is next to the main bathroom at the rear, where the toilet is thoughtfully separate. No waiting while someone is in the shower. The main bathroom includes a walk-in rain shower and a generous bathtub, perfect for a long soak after a day of exploring. Both bathrooms are finished with floor-to-ceiling marble-look tiles, giving a refined, spa-like feel.
Moving into the living areas, you pass through the small reading nook and enter the spacious kitchen, fitted with high-end appliances and everything needed to prepare meals for family or friends. A breakfast bar with high seating keeps the cook connected to the conversation. The kitchen opens into the sunroom, where expansive sliding doors are a defining feature. Opening wide in warmer months to create an easy indoor–outdoor flow, and in cooler seasons, allowing natural light and winter sun to pour in. The sunroom is thoughtfully arranged into three zones without walls: a four-seat round table near the kitchen for casual breakfasts or coffee, a relaxed seating area around a coffee table overlooking the garden, and a dining table at the far end, seating six.
Beyond the kitchen is a dedicated desk space for those who need to work while away, a third toilet, and another informal sitting room. This space is perfect for quiet moments to read, meditate, or simply relax, and it’s also ideal for stretching, yoga, or a workout. A private spot to move and recharge while enjoying the peace of the home.
