The room was still dirty, there were dead bugs, hairs in the bed, dirty sock in the closet, old candy inder the bed. Everything was closed and under renovation so there was not much to do. Even though online has so many activities listed. Was very disappointed.

Cute!

A unique and charming experience! The train car was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited our needs for a one-night stay. One of the best parts of the property is that there’s plenty to do without ever having to leave—ice cream, mini golf, and several dining options are all conveniently located on-site.There were a few minor areas where the experience could be improved. Better signage directing guests to the train cars would be helpful, as we didn’t realize they were located beyond the mini golf area and initially had some trouble finding them. Our room also lacked towel hooks, which would have been a convenient addition. The bathroom door didn’t fully latch; it would close, but if bumped even slightly, it would swing back open. Finally, while not a necessity, adding a TV would be a nice enhancement. We would have enjoyed relaxing with a late-night show before bed.Overall, this was a fun and memorable stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a unique lodging experience.

The rail car was exactly as pictured and described; however, the surrounding property was most definitely misrepresented. All the surrounding business were not only closed but had been out of business for some time. It gave the place a creepy, deserted ghost town feeling. This is a shame as at one time I can only image how wonderful this area was for families to visit. You can tell someone had a dream and a vision but for whatever reason most of the businesses closed. The Angry Goat restaurant was open and we dined there. However, as other reviews indicated there was only one server to wait on all the customers. She was trying her best but she had very little support. Management is lacking or lacked proper restaurant managerial experience. The putt putt was open as was the ice cream shop all other businesses are closed and no one was around. Very sad.

What an excellent stay we had at the red ny central car this past weekend for our trip to Benezette to see the elk! We were looking for something unique, close to businesses but also decently close to Elk Country Visitor Center..this was about 35 mins away. This traincar fit all the boxes and left us with such a memorable weekend. We were a little lost at first finding our car but then had no issues. The car was quiet, clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved the snacks, waters and other little touches throughout. We would definitely recommend to those looking for a unique stay. There is ample parking as well as a restaurant and coffee shop on property. Apparently there is a pizza place as well but it didn't seem to be open during our stay.

A MUST TRY!

We found this place by accident even though we have stopped in Dubois for years. We could not have been happier with our stay. The charm of staying in a real rail car was indescribable and it was amazing how much they could fit into that space making it a comfortable stay. Lots of little amenities that you would not normally expect were also greatly appreciated. I encourage anyone who wants to do something a little "off the beaten path" to stay in one of the available rail cars. The site is also part of a larger complex that has a very nice bar and restaurant, an ice cream shop, mini golf and a very impressive full scale outdoor dinosaur exhibit. Perfect for a family get away.
