Gated carpark with secure mailbox. Intercom for permission to enter viewable from bed 1. Fully equipped kitchen inc microwave, electric stove & oven, toaster, sandwich maker, Nutribullet, milk shake maker, coffee plunger. Full herb & spice rack for visitor use. Family sized fridge & freezer. Great art collection. Wood floors in Living Room. Soft, chocolate brown wtw carpets in bedrooms. Full length mirrors in each bedroom. Vanity mirrors in bathroom and bed 1. 1 pot plant only. Great internet & mobile data connections: wired (USB & 1 other connection) & wifi (Aussie Broadband). NBN. VOIP phone available. Plenty of AC/DC plugs. Town water. Waste paper baskets in both bedrooms. Rubbish, recycling & glass recycling bins extant. Please take the rubbish & recycling down to the bins on Wednesday night. Vaccy in the Living Room cupboard and dust buster on the kitchen wall. Wired printer, electric typewriter, stupid tv & DVD player for visitor use. Quiet, friendly block of units. Cool in summer. Warm in winter. Aircon in Living Room & bed 1. Electric heating in beds 1 & 2. Writing desk & chair in bed 2. Comfy chair in each bedroom. Plenty of knee rugs. Summer or winter doonas can be chosen. No cupboard space for visitor use. 4 large bed side units available for visitors. If you wish to bring your dog you will need to be a Responsible Dog Owner with a Well Socialised dog. Dogs may stay if your application is successful. Approved dog visitors are welcome in the Living Room and on the beds if well trained. Other animal companions may be considered. Small babies welcome. No crawling or walking babies as there are lots of electrical wires and low down plugs & devices. 2 children only unless previously specifically discussed. No rowdy children will be welcomed. There is not enough space and some of the art is delicate. Suitcases spaces available in both bedrooms. North, East & South (distant city lights) facing large windows. Great roller blinds. Pleasant night time breeze. West facing front door for sunset views. Dogs and their humans play in the park under the eastern window. Busy family-feeling neighbourhood. Birdsong in the morning. Bats, stars & moon in the night. Sleeps 4 comfortably, additional fold out bed with cosy red hooded sleeping bag & pillow available. Plenty of interesting reading material & memorabilia. Some tourist perks & household games. Good washing & drying facilities. Small, warm bath & shower. Toilet works well. TP & cleaning products provided. Dining nook in north facing window. Crockery, cutlery & glassware settings for 5. Hot drinks supplied. Please refill before departure. BYO milk. Great coffee shop on the corner of the street. Great walking routes within 1 block. 5 mins walk to the number 58 tram route. 15 mins by tram to CBD including Law Courts, culture, museum, The Art Centre, Fed Square, Melbourne Art Gallery, theatres, opera, ballet, shopping, Births Deaths & Marriages Registry, banking et.al. 10 mins walk to supermarket, hair dresser, smoke shop, chemist, grog shop, local green grocer, bakery (Bahn mi, pies, pasties, pastries), GP, cafe, osteopath, misc. take away, Thai massage, manicure shop. Bus ride at the end of the street or 5 min drive to Brunswick Baths inc indoor & outdoor pools, spa, sauna & steam. Approx cost $10. 6 mins drive to Brunswick Library inc great wifi, in situ computers (show proof of address), books, children's section, printing, scanning & copying (for a fee). Library card available for visitor use. Public Transport card available for visitor use. 10 min drive or bus trip gets you to Sydney Road. Sydney Road Brunswick is a vibrant, bohemian, liberal, entertainment & shopping precinct. Sydney Road Coburg is cosmopolitan boasting arabic, greek & other culture and cuisine. Cinema at Pentridge Shopping Centre in north Coburg on the tram route. 10 mins drive to the Coburg Drive-in cinema. Clothes shopping & op shops abound. Sydney Road tram will also take you South to the University precinct, the CBD and Vic Market. My home is a $40 taxi ride from the airport or you can get the Skybus to Southern Cross and take the tram home. Long & short term car parking available at Tullamarine airport. Close driving distance from Northcote, Fitzroy, Carlton, Parkville, Collingwood, Reservoir, Preston, Pascoe Vale, Glenroy, Moonee Ponds, Footscray, Yarraville, Maribyrnong, Flemington (the Race Track & Royal Melbourne Show). Fun car day trips a few hours away to The Dandenongs, Heidelberg, Ballarat, Mornington Peninsula, Geelong, The Bellarine Peninsula. Easy access to Mt Buller, for skiing or sight-seeing. To Albury/Wodonga for tourists who might enjoy the Murray River joys and gold fields history. Castlemaine & Bendigo are beautiful country destinations with nature and history and only about 2 hours drive away.
Southern Cross Railway Station boasts many trains and buses to country stops. Southern Cross is a tram ride and 5 mins walk from home. Gippsland is a few hours away and a unique natural wonder. The property is an easy step-off point for travel to Sydney or Adelaide by car, bus, train or plane. Flights available from Tullamarine to Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, Darwin, Kununurra (& thereby The Kimberley), Perth, Alice Springs, Uluru (via Yulara Resort Town), Hobart, Launceston, New Zealand & other international locations. Great spot to relax and unwind or get cosy and rest. Good for recuperation. Also a fab stepping off point or mid-point for adventurers on the road. Gated carpark available for a car or small van. Your car is also safe if parked in the street of our quiet neighbourhood where everybody knows each other. Van-parking would suit Toyota HiAce (there is no max headroom) or Car-campers. Gate is too small for a Transit Van, Mercedes ex-ambulance, 4WD ute, or the like. But nice and secure to park your regular car. Visitors can book the carpark for a van or car-camping with previous discussion. Neighbours are on board. Vanlife afficionados are welcome if discreet. The carpark gate locks most of the time. The wifi works down there. There is a tap available for the water faucet down there upon application. There are 4 sets of gate & door keys available for visitors. The unit could accommodate 5 inside and a couple in a van if you are all good buddies. There will be a negotiated price for van parking. There is 50L hot water available every hour. For further info, give me a call. The property is cleaned and prepared at the completion of every stay. You are responsible for cleaning, sheet changing & rubbish removal during your stay. Any maintenance issues will be reported to myself by email. For urgent maintainence issues please text me and I will respond when I am in phone range. You will be advised of my availability upon payment of your fee. Depending on my travel plans, arrangements may be made with my representatives regarding Very Urgent maintainence matters. 1 or 2 visitors are permitted but parties are not. Please arrange group gatherings of more than ten at another venue of your choosing. There is a BBQ in Rylie Park over the road. There are heaps of cafes & pubs nearby. Your mates could also stay at the YMCA in the CBD or a motel of their choice
There is also a securely fenced children's playground with exciting stuff and a sand pit with diggers and everything. Longer term visitors with children could make arrangements with the Kindergarten and/or primary school just next door. There is space for a couple of fold up camp chairs on my tiny balcony. There is absolutely no garden or outside sitting areas in my property. But there are great sitting places with sun, breeze, sound & 360° views.
