From the upper level, you’ll also find access to the lower level via an interior trapdoor ladder. Please use caution when climbing.

The treehouse comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 2 children, making it perfect for couples or small families seeking a memorable escape.

☕ Elevated Coffee Bar & Comforts

Start your mornings with the fully stocked coffee and breakfast bar, featuring:

• Keurig coffee machine
• Assorted coffees, teas, and hot chocolate
• Cereals and oatmeal

🍳 Functional Lower-Level Kitchen & Amenities

The lower level offers a practical kitchenette equipped with:
• Electric hot plate
• Toaster, kettle, and coffee press
• Small refrigerator

The kitchen includes cookware, dishes, utensils, and a bottled potable water system for cooking. An additional large jug of drinking water is also provided.
For longer stays, we recommend bringing a cooler for extra food storage.

🚿 Bathroom & Facilities

Also located on the lower level:
• Composting toilet
• Small sink with bottled water system
• Seasonal shower available mid-April through October (weather permitting). Please confirm availability with the host prior to your stay.

The lower level can be accessed via the interior ladder or through a convenient exterior door.
A brand-new detached outhouse is located just steps away, and guests are encouraged to use it whenever possible.

🔥 Outdoor Experience

Step outside to enjoy:
• A private forest firepit area perfect for evening bonfires
• Beautiful woodland views from multiple treehouse windows
• Barbecue on the deck for outdoor cooking
• Peaceful trails and nature all around you

📺 Entertainment & Connectivity

• TV and DVD player with a selection of movies
There is no Wi-Fi, but you may find the chance to unplug and reconnect with nature is the best connection of all.

🔥 Heating & Cooling

The treehouse is designed to stay cozy and comfortable in all seasons.

The upper level is heated with an electric panel heater that keeps the space warm and inviting.

The lower level is heated using a propane heater. Guests may adjust the temperature as needed, however we kindly ask that the propane heater not be turned off on cold winter days, to ensure proper operation and comfort.

For added comfort during the warmer summer months, a small window air conditioning unit has been installed in the main upper-level living/sleeping area to help keep the space cool. The surrounding forest canopy, shade, and multiple windows also help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature naturally.

⚡ Off-Grid Living Note

Due to limited electrical capacity, we kindly ask guests to use only one high-power appliance at a time (for example, turning off the electric heater when using the kettle or toaster). Please note that the treehouse does not have traditional running water. A bottled potable water system with a small tap is provided for handwashing and cooking, along with extra drinking water for your convenience.

✨ Whether you’re seeking a romantic retreat, a cozy family adventure, or a peaceful nature escape, this treehouse offers a truly unforgettable stay.

Lovely stay and cozy hideaway on a beautiful property! Great hosts who were very flexible, even with unforseen travel changes. Lots of lovely attention to detail in the decorating to make it feel warm and cozy, especially in the winter months. We'd happily stay again!

I absolutely loved staying at the tree house. It was so quiet and peaceful. The only sounds heard were the birds which is exactly what I was looking for. The treehouse was really clean and comfortable. The bed I slept in was SO comfortable! The sheets and pillow cases were really soft. They also stocked the fridge with some drinks and milk/cream for coffee which was really appreciated. They also left a bag of snacks! It was such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely be back! Hopefully for a longer stay next time!

The Rustic Treehouse Hideaway was an awesome experince for me and my partner! Overall, the atmosphere was very calm, quiet, beautiful, and welcoming. Although we got there during a period of not-so-great weather, we had no problems accessing the treehouse as a nice path was shoveled for us in the snow that led us straight there. The Treehouse was sparkling clean, with all amenities and appliances in perfect working order. We were able to keep the treehousewarm and cozy for our entire visit. We especially enjoyed being able to take a snowy winter hike at the nearby Corbeil Conservation Area just a 15 minute walk away. A great place for a winter getaway! We would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, in combination with a cozy place to stay the night.

About the host

Host profile image

We’re Sylvie and Jeff, proud owners of The Rustic Treehouse Hideaway Bed & Breakfast. We both grew up in the local area—Sylvie in the francophone community of Sturgeon Falls and Jeff in Astorville. After spending time away for school and career opportunities, we chose to return to our roots to raise our family in the place we’ve always loved.

We have two children, Avery and Rylan, along with our dog Bruno and cats Ziggy and Zoe. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, camping, and creating meaningful memories together—values that inspired the experience we now share with our guests.

Hosting has been a new and exciting journey for us. The treehouse itself began as one of Jeff’s childhood dreams, which he brought to life in 2021 as a magical space for our family during a time when slowing down and reconnecting mattered most. It was carefully handcrafted using materials from the surrounding forest, along with reclaimed and thoughtfully selected elements.

Over time, that dream grew into something we wanted to share. We’ve poured a lot of care into creating a space that feels unique, welcoming, and a little bit magical. What we love most about hosting is being able to offer others a chance to step away from the busy pace of everyday life, reconnect with nature, and create their own special memories here.

We truly enjoy meeting guests from near and far and are so grateful to share this special place with you.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area for its perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to everything you might need. Located in the small rural community of Corbeil, Ontario, our property is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, mature forests, and the quiet charm of country living.

The area is known for its proximity to stunning local lakes, including Lake Nipissing, Lake Nosbonsing, and Trout Lake—making it an ideal setting for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone simply looking to relax and unwind. It’s also been the perfect place to raise a family, with nature all around and a welcoming, close-knit community.

What we love most is how peaceful and private it feels, while still being just a short drive to North Bay for groceries, restaurants, and local amenities. It truly offers the best of both worlds—a tranquil escape into nature without feeling too far from convenience.

What makes this property unique

What truly sets our Rustic Treehouse Hideaway apart is the story, craftsmanship, and experience it offers. This is not just a place to stay—it’s a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted retreat built from locally sourced logs and thoughtfully designed by a father to create a magical space for his family. That spirit of creativity, care, and connection to nature is felt in every detail.

Nestled among the trees, the structure itself blends seamlessly into the surrounding forest, offering an authentic “up in the trees” experience while still providing cozy comforts. From the charming loft sleeping spaces to the warm, inviting interior, every element has been designed to spark a sense of wonder—bringing childhood treehouse dreams to life.

Unlike a traditional cabin, this is a true glamping experience—where simplicity meets comfort. Guests can unplug from the busyness of everyday life (no Wi-Fi!) and reconnect with nature, whether that’s enjoying coffee in the treetops, watching the forest through expansive windows, or gathering around a private firepit under the stars.

The multi-level layout, unique access points, and thoughtful off-grid features—like the composting toilet, seasonal shower, and low-impact utilities—create a stay that feels both adventurous and intentional. It’s a place where you slow down, embrace the outdoors, and experience something genuinely different.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a romantic getaway, or a memorable family experience, our treehouse offers something rare: a stay that feels magical, meaningful, and completely unlike anywhere else.
