The Space:

Our four tiny houses at Bush Hideaway X offer a peaceful retreat in Coonawarra, Australia. The tiny houses are set in a secluded space with the perfect balance of comfort and tranquility. Just about 380 kilometer's south-east of Adelaide, this is the perfect hideaway near world renowned wineries, vineyards and natural parks.



See the famous wineries and cellar doors through guided tours at Coonawarra Winery Walking Trail. Discover fossils at cave wonders at Naracoorte Caves National Park, or dip into the freshwater of Bool Lagoon and Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake. Don’t miss the stunning coastal landscape of Limestone Coast.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.



IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have three more tiny houses," Bush Hideaway 2," "Bush Hideaway 3," and "Bush Hideaway 4," available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.



Pets are allowed with 24 hours' notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.



- An additional fee of $15 per pet per night applies for extra pets.

You’ll discover the region’s natural parks, famous wineries, wine tours, cellar doors and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Start exploring the well-known wineries through self-guided tours like the Coonawarra Winery Walking Trail. Go in for guided cellar door visits in famous hubs like Redmond, Brands, Wynns Coonawarra Estate, DiGiorgio, and Zima Estate near our holiday homes.



Take a walk to Naracoorte Caves National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and experience fossil discoveries and cave tours. Discover the scenic sights of Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake and the breathtaking coastal landscapes of Limestone Coast. Discover diverse birdlife at Game Reserve or dip into a large freshwater lagoon system at Bool Lagoon.

- The nearest town, Penola, is 15 minutes, 20km



By public transport:



- There is a daily bus from Adelaide and Melbourne to Penola

- The nearest town is Penola, a 15-minute drive away

- There is no local taxi service, but we provide a shuttle service or a wine tour around the region



Other Things to Note:

- Wi-Fi is available.

- Gas BBQ grill is available.

- No smoking inside, except in designated areas.

- Children are welcome under close adult supervision.

- Potable water is free, dryers and washers are also available.

- Only Telstra has a strong signal, while other providers have limited or weak coverage.

- Pets are allowed with 24 hours' notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

- We would like to remind guests that our tiny house follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank.



Important Note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is located in bushland (or grassland) areas

- Children are welcome under close adult supervision, including a safety guide sent prior to booking.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
