About this property

'Forget-Me-Not Garden Cottage.' A classic and cosy cottage, close to town.

I am the new owner of Forget-Me-Not Garden Cottage (previously Forget-Me-Not Miners' Cottage). This cottage offers a brand new queen size bed and quality mattress, sitting/dining area, basic cooking facilities, heating and A/C, as well as a classic Ned Kelly fireplace with firewood provided for the colder months. The bathroom has a corner spa with an overhead rain-shower. It is set in a fairy tale garden setting that changes throughout the seasons. A private veranda overlooks the rear garden, and the front verandah provides a peaceful space to watch the setting sun. Wifi is currently being installed (end May 2026).

Despite arriving a day early, i believe we managed to resolve in a positive way. I recognise it as an easy error to make.

A very cosy little cottage. Host was very thoughtful to turn on the heating as it was a miserable day. The fire was very welcome as well.

Thank you for staying. It is lovely to sit by a fire on a cold day, and its also lovely to feel the brisk air. Do visit in spring.

I am originally from the UK, and have a deep love of nature and gardening. After a time battling the sandy soils of Western Australia, I have arrived in Daylesford, to enjoy the mineral rich soils. With this I have acquired and airbnb, and hope you too will enjoy this peaceful setting.

Why they chose this property

This area is a delight for many reasons; for gourmets, shoppers, cyclists and walkers. The lake is perfect for an easy walk or indulgent dip,

What makes this property unique

The property is close to the town centre, though I must point out, it is atop an extinct volcano, ajacent to the entrance of the botnical gardens and its cafe. This property is unique, containing many beautiful seasonal trees and shrubs. Today it is undergoing renovation, with the addition of plants that reflect a mix of English and Australian plants.
