Happiest Place to Stay In Normandy.

If you are unable to climb stairs, this house is not for you, so stop reading. The house is old, which is clearly visible when you enter. Once we got used to it, we loved it, not least because of our charming host Nicolas and his assistant Olivier who bent over backwards for us. I cannot imagine anyone cooking a meal for six people in the kitchen, but French people seem to have a way of doing that. Having said that, we never cooked but ate out every meal in wonderful restaurants, so that was not an issue for us. The toilet on the first floor was a challenge at night and is not directly ensuite, but down a few steps. With all the negatives out of the way, the house is spacious, bright and airy. The living room, dining room and four bedrooms have beautiful views over the ocean. The first floor bathroom has a lovely shower and a dressing room nearby but the 2nd floor bedroom only has a bath. The real enjoyment of this house for us was the garden, which was filled with roses and a lovely shady avenue of trees where we could have tea. Outside there is a dining table to enjoy an evening meal on the lawn and deck chairs to enjoy cocktails at sunset. Easy, secure parking. Best of all, the location was superb. Not only is Villerville just the right size, its location between Honfleur and Dauville is better than either one of them individually. We don't know what it was exactly but we all loved BelleVue. It just made us happy every day to be there and what more do you need on holiday?

Nous avons passés quelques jours en famille très agréable dans cette maison, qui est propice aux dîners en famille…Ambiance chaleureuse et proche de la mer, vue sur la mer, on reste des heures à regarder au loin… il y a tout pour cuisiner, pour se détendre… La literie est parfaite… Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour.

Het was een absoluut voorrecht om een week in dit sfeervolle huis met prachtig uitzicht te verblijven! Ontzettend vriendelijke host en makkelijke incheck. De slaapkamers waren geweldig, met echt heerlijke hotelkamerbedden, waarvan 4 (!) met uitzicht op zee. Het dorpje is schattig. In de buurt is genoeg te doen. Kan er nog uren over vertellen. Ik wil zeker nog een keer terug en dan langer :)

Het huis is erg mooi, zitcomfort binnen is matig maar de bedden daarintegen zijn erg fijn. De keuken is zeer krap en de wc’s zijn onhandig gepositioneerd. Het inchecken was dramatisch want er was geen enkele informatie verschaft. Op goed geluk naar hotel in de buurt geweest die gelukkig een sleutel hadden
