The Space:
Omoho Stream X by Tiny Away is located in Kennedy Bay, set 200m from the main road in a fully fenced paddock, privately positioned on a flat site designed for the tiny home. Enjoy views of rolling paddocks, mountains, and lush native forest.
Just 5 minutes away, a secluded beach awaits. Explore private bushwalks along the stream, spot native wildlife, and enjoy a taste of rural living — all within easy reach of the Coromandel’s top attractions.
Experience the best of Coromandel near Omoho Stream. Relax at mostly secluded Harataunga Beach (5 min), visit the nearby carved Harataunga Marae with the owner, ride the Driving Creek Railway and Zipline (20 min), or enjoy a fun day at Waiau Waterworks (30 min).
This 139-square-foot tiny home features easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we have two holiday homes Omoho Stream 1 and 2, available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home, but must respect all signposted “No Entry” and private areas on the property. There are only two restricted areas: your land host’s private home and its surrounding buildings, and the OMOHO Stream boundary.
Preorders are available with 24 hrs prior notice:
- Breakfast is available for an additional charge. Dinner can be arranged (no dietary restrictions). We use locally sourced meat and seafood, compost all waste, and feed scraps to our chickens.
The Neighborhood:
Omoho Stream X by Tiny Away in Kennedy Bay is just 5 minutes from a secluded beach, where you can enjoy bushwalks, spot wildlife, and experience rural living, while still being within easy reach of Coromandel’s top attractions.
For essentials, Coromandel 4 Square is only a 25–30 minute drive, offering groceries, fresh produce, meat, and local specialties. For nature lovers, the Tokatea Track along the Coromandel ranges, the scenic Castle Rock, and numerous other walks, hikes, and beaches provide plenty of opportunities for exploration and swimming.
Getting Around:
By car:
- From Auckland, follow signs to the Coromandel Peninsula — about 2.5–3 hours without stops. Daylight travel is recommended to enjoy sightseeing along the way.
- If arriving at night, owners must guide guests to the property. Coromandel Town is the nearest town, 25–30 minutes away on gravel roads. A 4WD is highly recommended for exploring the peninsula, as many roads are gravel.
By public transport:
- Buses run regularly from Auckland via Thames to Coromandel.
- Taxi service is available from Coromandel Town (approx. US$25 one way).
- A ferry operates from Auckland Downtown to Coromandel, but schedules may change due to weather.
Other Things to Note:
- Wi-Fi available.
- No children allowed
- Gas BBQ grill is available.
- Potable water is available for xx.
- No smoking inside or outside the tiny home
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving
- Mobile reception is good for only Vodafone and Spark, while other networks have no reception.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
