About this property

Charming old stone house in the Morvan, tastefully restored, comfortable (WLAN)

The detached house, about 200 years old, has been completely restored with high quality materials. We managed to maintain its original french rural character while connecting it to modern design and comfort (fiber Internet and SAT-TV).

It offers a charming place for a couple or a family with up to 5 persons of incredible calm and with a lot of light in the 'Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan' within the heart of Burgundy.

Inside

The ground floor is a large living room (35 m2) with French beamed ceiling, oak floors and a cozy lounge area with a modern stove. Also in the ground floor there is the spacious and well-equipped kitchen (22 m2) with a table for up to 10 persons. The first floor is accessed via a beautiful staircase. There is another very generous and also light-filled room (30 m2) with oak flooring, which serves as a bedroom (1 double bed- 200 x 160 cm) as well as a second living room. Connected to this room is a spacious bathroom (7 m2) - with walk-in showers and window - and a small (9 m2) Bedroom (1 double bed- 200 x 140 cm) with a gallery offering another cosy place to sleep (especially for kids).

Outside

Around the house there is enough space to relax or dine on the spacious terrace (you will find all the necessary garden furniture, including a grill). From almost any place there is a wonderful view: at the back of the house there are romantic meadows (about 3h), with Camargue horses, and to the front of the house there is the village and the landscape of the beautiful Morvan.

Lovely rural property. Incredibly peaceful and relaxing stay. The property was basic but well equipped and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches of wine and jam. Beautiful walks in the countryside and interesting places to visit nearby.

Perfect countryside getaway

My family loved the tranquility of this property. The peace and quiet were exactly what we were after with only the sound of birds, sheep and other local wildlife to contend with. The owner provides everything you could wish for including useful information about activities in the local area. The pretty village of Cussy-en-Morvan is only a very short walk away with a friendly and incredibly well stocked small village shop. We hope to return in the future to explore the area more.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Haus mit angenehmer Atmosphäre in fantastischer Umgebung. Wir haben jede Minute sehr genossen, ob im Haus an den beiden Regentagen, die wir hatten, oder draußen unter dem Sonnenschirm am Nachmittag oder unter abendlichem Sternenhimmel. Der Morvan ist landschaftlich überaus abwechslungsreich und bietet leichte bis anspruchsvolle Wandertouren. Ebenso gestalten sich die Möglichkeiten für Rennrad- und Mountainbiketouren. Wir hatte tolle zwei Wochen. Herzlichen Dank für die immer freundliche Kommunikation.

gelungener, sehr schöner Urlaub

Für uns war es ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub. Das Haus ist professionell und schön restauriert. Der Platz ist mehr als ausreichend, es fehlt nichts an der Ausstattung. Wir haben auch 2x den Ofen im Wohnzimmer genutzt, funktioniert prima und mit dem Holz vom Gastgeber sowieso. Uns hat außerdem die Ruhe und die Natur sehr gut gefallen, die Gegend ist wie geschaffen für erholsame Wanderungen. Hervorheben möchte ich noch George, den Gastgeber. Er gibt schon vorab super Tipps für den Aufenthalt und steht jederzeit per Whatsapp zur Verfügung. Danke hier nochmal für die sehr gute Betreuung. Wir können das Haus und seinen Gastgeber und auch die Gegend nur weiterempfehlen.

Ein perfektes stilvolles Haus mitten in der Natur

Diese Haus versprüht beim ersten Anblick schon den Charme der Vergangenheit aber wir haben keinerlei Komfort missen müssen. Eine Kombination von Alt und Neu ist in eine gute Harmonie gebracht worden. Die Umgebung spricht für sich und bietet Naturfreunden das besondere Erlebnis. Die Kommunikationen mit Georges war perfekt. Rundherum ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Danke!

Quel charme!!!

On tombe tout de suite sous le charme de cette belle maison qui ne manque absolument de rien. Ambiance cosy, confortable et très bien équipée où vous allez tout de suite vous sentir à l’aise. A l’écart des masses touristiques vous avez pourtant tant de choses à découvrir. Très belles balades au départ de la maison pour découvrir une nature encore intacte avec un paysage sublime, visites culturelles ou bon restos. Contact très agréable, sympathique et rapide avec le propriétaire qui vous donne de bons conseils pour votre séjour. Petit plus du lieu. La petite balade matinale pour récupérer votre pain et délicieux croissants à l’épicerie du village qui d’ailleurs propose un bon petit choix d’aliments. Malgré une semaine très pluvieuse nous avons adoré et espérons revenir.

Auszeit im Morvan

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt im wunderschönen Steinhaus mit Garten. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und lädt zum ausgiebigen Kochen ein. Wenn es abends kühler wurde, heizten wir den Holzofen in der Küche ein. Das Wohnzimmer, der erste Stock und der Garten bieten viele Möglichkeiten, seinen persönlichen Lieblingsort zum Lesen oder Träumen zu finden. Und auch das Bad bietet alles, was man braucht.

Wij vonden het huis niet comfortabel en slecht schoongemaakt. Er is geen goed zitmeubilair, de meeste ramen van de slaapkamers hebben geen gordijnen. De keukeninventaris is verouderd en onvolledig. De badkamer is ruim en voorzien van wat je nodig hebt.

Wunder-schönes Haus in wunderbarer Lage

Einsam und trotzdem nah am Dorf mit kleinem Laden zur Versorgung (Baguette und Croissant bitte immer vorbestellen!) Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe. Eine große Auswahl an sehr guten französischen Restaurants in erreichbarer Entfernung. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und ist in einem Top Zustand! Perfekte Gegend zum Wandern.

Burgund, nur etwas anders

Wir verbrachten als Familie zwei wunderbare, entspannte Wochen im alten Steinhaus in Cussy-en-Morvan. Die Zeit konnten wir sehr genießen, da es dem Haus nur an sehr wenig mangelt und die Gegend an sich ein Traum ist. Die Bilder geben einen guten Eindruck vom Haus, das wirklich sehr schön eingerichtet ist und man sich schnell wohl fühlt. Es gibt nur Kleinigkeiten, die uns aufgefallen sind und die man eventuell beheben kann. So fehlt es in der Küche etwas an Stauraum für Einkäufe, wenn man selbst kochen möchte in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche. Da man gut eine halbe Stunde einfache Fahrt für den nächsten Großeinkauf einplanen muss und man das nicht ständig machen will, wäre hier etwas mehr Mobiliar hilfreich. Auch die Möglichkeit das Hauptschlafzimmer zu verdunkeln wäre wünschenswert. Wer gerne mehr als die nähere Umgebung erkunden will, muss einplanen, dass man auf den ländlichen Straßen und deren mittelprächtigem Zustand doch immer etwas länger braucht als das Navi kalkuliert. Wir haben einige tolle Orte (Bibracte, Alesia, Guedelon, Höhlen von Arcy-sur-Cure, Chateauneuf en Auxoise etc.) besuchen können und man kann immer wieder kommen, weil es noch so viel zu sehen und entdecken gibt. Zur Abkühlung, gerne auf dem Rückweg, ging es dann immer wieder in einen der Seen im Morvan. Mit Herrn Brox verlief Planung und Kommunikation immer reibungslos. So viele glückliche Gäste haben in dem Haus so viele Tipps zurückgelassen, dass es einem an Ideen für die Zeit dort nicht mangeln wird.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus im Herzen des Morvan – ideal für Familien

Wir haben eine Woche mit zwei kleinen Kindern (3 Jahre und 1 Jahr) im Morvan verbracht. Das Haus ist ein für die Region typisches Steinhaus, welches sehr schön gelegen ist. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten des Morvan sind sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und auch für Kinder sehr gut geeignet. Im Haus ist alles Notwendige vorhanden. Außerdem besitzt das Haus eine sehr gute Auswahl an Büchern in Englisch, Französisch und Deutsch. Unsere Kinder haben vor allem auch die Spielecke sehr gemocht. Wir haben aufgrund der Hitze viel Zeit an den Seen verbracht, könnten uns aber auch sehr gut vorstellen im Herbst einmal wieder zu kommen. Wir können es jedem empfehlen, der die Region ohne große Anfahrtswege vor Ort entdecken möchte. Die Kommunikation mit Herrn Brox war stets sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.

Excellent séjour dans le Morvan

Le gîte est très confortable, calme et plein de charme. A l’orée du village, il peut servir de point de départ pour des ballades entre champs et forêts. Les équipements du gîte sont très complets, les deux poêles assurent une température très agréable (séjour en novembre). Les échanges avec le propriétaire sont directs et réactifs, l’arrivée et le départ de font très facilement.

Refugium in schöner Umgebung

Wir haben das Haus so erlebt, wie es auf der Website beschrieben ist - ein idealer Ort um abzuschalten. Und bei der Ausstattung alles da, was man braucht: Internet, Küchenausrüstung, Bücher zum Schmökern, etc. Auch der nächtliche Ruf des Käuzchens fehlte nicht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war perfekt.
