This property is a truly exquisite and unforgettable experience. The house itself is one of a kind—a remarkable design that really has to be seen to be believed. It is also incredibly well built; despite its many rooms and expansive spaces, I don’t think I heard a single creak during our entire stay. The interior is just as special, filled with beautiful furniture, antiques, artwork, and fascinating oddities that make simply wandering through the house an experience in itself. The kitchen is gorgeous and exceptionally well equipped. We cooked several wonderful meals while the kids played soccer in the backyard, and in the evenings we watched movies on the enormous projection screen while making popcorn with the house’s carnival-style popcorn cart. The surrounding property is peaceful and serene, with a quality that immediately seems to calm both the mind and spirit. Our hosts were also lovely and pointed us toward several excellent nearby excursions that we might otherwise have missed. Our only regret was not staying longer. In fact, the biggest problem with this property is that it makes almost every other place you stay afterward pale by comparison. It was easily one of the highlights of our trip, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

When we were planning a family vacation to Nova Scotia for summer 2026, we wanted to find a place that could accommodate the 7 of us in 4 bedrooms, and somewhere central to our plans to go to PEI, Cape Breton and Halifax. The VRBO picture of the curving wood staircase incorporating a tree caught our attention and after reviewing the description of the Seaside Treehouse Lodge we were intrigued and excited about staying there. It sounded like the house would be an experience in of itself. We were not disappointed, the home is incredible. The host Ania and her daughter greeted us upon arrival to introduce themselves and to give us a tour of the home. We spent the week there enjoying what the home had to offer (large kitchen, lovely lounging/entertaining areas, comfortable bedrooms and a huge yard). As a launch pad to our other adventures in the area, we were always eager to return "home" at the end of the day.Ania was super helpful and responsive to our questions along the way. She offered her advice for things to do in the area, which we appreciated because we would not have known about those things otherwise. We highly recommend the Seaside Treehouse Lodge. It's quiet, well appointed, clean, comfortable and downright interesting. We would stay here again without hesitation.
