Dustoff Sand — Your Coastal Leave Destination
Secure your next coastal deployment at Dustoff Sand, a mission-ready
3-bedroom, 2-bath home, complete with an outdoor shower. This
ocean-view beach retreat is located just steps from Ward Avenue Beach
on the rugged and beautiful Mendocino Coast. Designed with comfort,
relaxation, and reconnection in mind. This nautical-inspired home is
the perfect liberty destination for military families, veterans, first
responders, and any other civilians looking to stand down and
recharge.
Just a short walk from the house, Ward Avenue Beach offers miles of
open shoreline, rolling dunes, crashing surf, and sweeping Pacific
views. Watch snowy plovers and sandpipers patrol the tideline while
you soak in the fresh ocean air and leave everyday worries behind.
Base Camp Comfort
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by a well-maintained flower garden
and an acre of peaceful surroundings that immediately put you at ease.
You will be issued a pass for rest and relaxation (R&R) on the
strategically placed deck with an ocean view at the bar. The beautiful
sunsets here are required viewing. You are also permitted access to
R&R at the back patio table. The patio provides the perfect setting
for sunrise coffee, evening drinks, or quiet moments after a full day
of coastal operations. Feel at ease taking a range walk on the stone
pathway that leads to the fire pit, where all pogie bait (smores) are
welcome. Before lights out, your order is to be leaning back in the
comfortable Adirondack chairs, where the stars you see will out-rank
all other stars you may have served with.
Inside, the open-concept living and dining area serves as mission
control for your stay. Whether you’re gathering the family for movie
night, swapping stories from the day’s adventures, or simply kicking
back on the luxurious leather couch, the space is built for connection
and comfort. Rustic exposed brick details and subtle coastal décor
create an atmosphere that’s equal parts relaxed and refined.
