A true gem lake-house in southern Muskoka - approx. 1.5 hrs from Toronto. Mid Century cottage completely updated with fantastically cool vibe. On a small bay at the best part of the lake, with privacy, incredible swimming in protected bay, great fishing, and wonderful sunrises. Imagine yourself in an idyllic Muskoka chair down by the dock sipping on your morning coffee (or tea) beside a shimmering lake. Cottage situated on a rock no more than 20’ from the water. All modern amenities including wifi, satellite smart tv, all brand new top of the line appliances – washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, oven and cooktop. (smeg, bosch, Thor). Including Sonos sound. Includes use of 2 kayaks, canoe, paddle board, wind-surfer, & sailboat (Marina rents motor boats). Whole home UV water treatment system and living room AC. Roast marshmallows at sunset at your outdoor firepit under the stars on the rock. Cozy up to the indoor fireplace while playing board games or watching streaming movies to the smart tv (own app accounts required). 2 bbqs including green big egg smoker and gas Weber. Outdoor dining table, multiple outdoor lounge seating areas with beautiful views of the lake. Rest in your hammock. Three bedrooms: Queen bed, double bed, and single bed – sleeping for 5. Calm rustic. perfection. 2 marinas on lake (10 minute drive), 20 – 30 minutes to the increasingly hip towns of Bala and Port Carling.

This has been our family retreat for 20 years. We recently renovated it to keep the cabin vibe but to provide a more hip and curated vibe. Everything is new : bathroom completely gutted, renovated kitchen with all new top of the line appliances adding luxury to your cabin stay. The spot on the lake is spectacular with 300’ of shoreline offering complete privacy and wonderful views. If you are active there is lots to do in the water (boats provided) or hiking, running, and walking.

Why they chose this property

We are close to both Port Carling and Bala both towns becoming more and more hip. But we can be happy by ourselves at the cabin enjoying the views and the water in our calm bay.
